Dr. Aaron Miller grew up in Lancaster playing goalie in soccer and ice hockey. He graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School and went on to graduate with a double major in Philosophy and Biology from Muhlenberg College. This would allow him to think critically about what would happen should he not get into dental school..But he did, and earned his DMD degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and his specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry from Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Aaron is a guest lecturer in pediatric dentistry and behavior guidance and has been invited to speak at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia Dental Residency Program, Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh Dental Residency Program, York Hospital Dental Residency Program, the Lancaster County Dental Society, Womens and Babies Family Medicine Department, and Grand Rounds at Hershey Medical Center. He enjoys lecturing on the following topics: dental trauma, behavior guidance, and dentistry for the physician.

When Dr. Aaron isnt caring for children, he enjoys spending time with his wife Crystal, who is an Emergency Medicine Physician, and their Bernese Mountain Dog, Brighton. In their spare time, they enjoy skiing, biking, hiking and traveling.

Dr. Stephen Miller started this practice in 1979 and moved into this location in 1980. Dr. Miller is retired after practicing pediatric dentistry for more than 45 years! He has seen it all! He enjoys his hobbies of practicing Yoga, meditation, reading, and hanging with his cat Royal Roy for short.Like Roy Rogers.

Dr. Miller attended Muhlenberg College, Temple Dental School, and completed his pediatric dental specialty training at Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia. He Served in the US Army as the Chief of Pediatric Dentistry in West Berlin, Germany at the rank of Major. Upon Leaving the service, he opened his practice in Lancaster, PA.

The practice theme arose from Dr. Millers love for the west and his heroes that were the Silver Screen Cowboys. Someone said make your office your hobby, so he did, and our Cowboy themed office arose.

A pediatric dentist answers some of the most common queries. When COVID-19 closed dental offices, I found myself getting lots more questions about teeth.

The sequence is usually this: The two lower central incisors, the two upper central incisors, two lower and two upper lateral incisors. Then the first molars, canines and finally the second molars come in around 2 to 3 years of age.

The lower adult incisors develop in the jaw below and behind the baby incisors. They come up, move forward and push out the baby teeth with the help of the tongue pressure and voila! Shark Tooth Syndrome cured, usually.

A little ice cream on the gum and a little rotational force will help these ornery critters land in their rightful spot under the pillow, but they need to be loose first. Otherwise, you will have an angry baby shark.

If a tooth is knocked out (avulsed), find it, hold it by the crown, gently rinse the root with water and replace it into the socket (make sure the front of the tooth is in the front) and hold it there with gauze or a washcloth.

Children are more susceptible to ionizing radiation, which is why dentists should follow the ALARA Principle (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) and Image Gently Campaign. These recommendations urge dental and medical providers to:

We absolutely LOVE this dentist office! The staff are very knowledgeable and great with kids. Toys and lots of fun for the children with an exciting cowboy/western theme. We travel all the way from MD just to make sure my kids are seen by the best!

Always a great experience when visiting the Cowboy Dentist! Dr. Miller is excellent with anxious children. We originally came because my son wouldn't sit for a regular dentist. Dr. Miller was able to get him to cooperate by just talking to him. We were amazed. Fast forward a few years and my son had a cavity filled and is terrified of needles. Afterwards, my son didn't even know there was a shot involved (shhhh, we aren't telling him, either) Dr. Miller personally called that evening to check in on him!

Highly recommend!! My daughter started coming after she chipped her tooth when she was 2. The whole ordeal ended with a tooth extraction when she was 3. Dr. Aaron was phenomenal the entire time. It was going to be a traumatic experience regardless, but he knew how to handle a scared toddler!
