While the dentists were great, office staff is not professional and detail oriented. They ran my insurance back in February/March and never stated they didn't accept my insurance plan, only stated that they didn't see my child enrolled, which I got corrected. On our next trip they still couldn't find him due to a spelling error, and when they ran my insurance again, NEVER mentioned they don't accept my insurance. I paid out of pocket assuming I'd get reimbursed through the insurance only to find out today after 3 visits that they don't take our insurance plan, which they can see when they pulled me up and couldn't find my child. I shopped around for places prior to my first visit and I was told they did take my insurance, but apparently they never checked the type of plan I had. Amy assisted me twice for sure and she doesn't know who told me they covered me prior to my first visit. Very bad customer service overall.

I'm not sure what's going on with this Elk Grove office. My daughter Julia has been going to Kids Care since she was in grade school. I've recently tried to make an appointment for my daughter before she goes back to school at USF. Today my daughter had an appointment with Dr. Fulford (Orthodontist). During the appointment, I was trying my hardest to understand the treatment but unfortunately, the doctor didn't have any patience to calmly explain or even address my concerns. Additionally, I have been calling this office for the past two years regarding the overpayment, to which I received no answer. Only today, two years later, did I find out that this office owes us $100 for the past treatment.

A few people have recommended this place and I thought I'll give it a try. So far my experience has been unpleasant especially with the front staff Britney who sounds very lazy and not very helpful. I have called 2 times to schedule a first visit and each time she asks me if my insurance is an HMO or PPO I responded saying I don't know but I have all the information needed for her to plug in. I told her my insurance name even said I have policy number and subscriber ID she still goes on to tell me she can't schedule an appointment unless I tell her if I have a PPO which is absurd because I have never once had this issue. I have always just used insurance name and ID at other dentist and they were quickly able to sort it out. But unhelpful Britney couldn't even be bothered with figuring it out or giving me options. She just told me to call my insurance to figure it out. I obviously went on kids care website and quickly called the 1800 number and Ofcourse explained the situation they told me that Britney could have easily done it but she chose not to. Ridiculous I know. Anyways I was able to schedule my appointment. Through the 1800 number I gave them my insurance name and number and they told me their verification team will be getting back to me if there's any issues. Britney if you're reading this please do better at your job or find a new job you made no effort whatsoever to help which is your job as a receptionist

We've been coming to Kid's Care in Elk Grove for over 15 years, covering both our children. I will not be back. Today the rudeness went beyond that which I am willing to tolerate. They have been discourteous one time too many. We pay for service, and it is not unreasonable to expect it to be kind, as well. I do not appreciate condescension in front of my child. I am appalled, and done.

My kids have been going for 14-years and have had the same dentist and typically can see that doctor. When out schedules required seeing a different dentist, we were treated with the same friendly and professional care. Staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Me and my son were in the lobby waiting over 50 mins long and then my son starts acting up. I talked to the front desk person and was told someone will be right with you. Waited 10 more mins. Lobby was over crowded. Wonderful, right. FYI - don't come to this office

We have been Kids Care Dental patients for the past 12 years. I am so disappointed in the service here. The last 4 times we have come we have had to wait over 45 minutes to be seen or to be seen by the actual dentist. My child requires special treatments which are recorded in all documents however when we arrive they never have the necessary supplies. There seems to be excuse after excuse but never any real changes to practice. Before I arrived today I filled out 3 separate forms online. I was asked to fill them out again when we arrived. Disappointed

This office was very nice and clean, kids friendly, pleasant and caring staff members , treated with a smile.We meet with Dr. David Trent ( orthodontist Surgeon) whom was very nice and friendly. He was very patient and took his time out to go over my daughter's images and assessment and explain everything in details and prepare us for the next step. If you must ask, yes I would definitely see him again if I lived in that area. I would give him a 10 out of 10. For being so patient and understanding to our daughter's need and treat her with urgency. Continue the good work Dr. Trent.

The assistant that took X-rays and did cleaning was amazing! My son normally is the type who is nervous and might resist, but she made it so comfortable for him. The dentist was quick with his exam and gave great feedback. Will always go back!

Doctor Ken was great with my little toddler. The entire staff is amazing. They were prompt at returning calls and our check in seem to always go smooth with little wait. They have been so nice to my little girl. I am really happy with my experience here.

The dental team is fantastic. Dr. Carson is one of the best dentist there. Everyone is personable, the office is clean and sanitary, and the staff was respectful of social distancing and following the rules due to Covid 19 restrictions.

We have been a long time family of Kids Care Dental and Ortho. We love the Elk Grove location. The staff and the doctors are wonderful and knowledgable. The new space feels really clean and inviting. Thanks Kids Care for taking good care of us.

Made our first appointment, the office called at least 4 times to confirm appointment, etc. We arrive for our appointment and are told they don't take our insurance (even though it's listed on their site). How can they not verify our insurance during those phone calls? Wasted trip. They still continue to text and email to schedule appointments. Response to company: if you're unable to determine which "patient" we were, it seems you have bigger problems. Start from within your office staff because they are not trained. An option is to create a step by step for those who call patients and have them verify insurance before their appointment.
