Our dental practice was established in 1993 by Drs. Gina Lodolini and Neil Capolongo. We wanted to create an environment where children feel comfortable while receiving comprehensive dental and orthodontic care. Our philosophy is to provide dental care to our patients with the same care, kindness and respect we would expect for our own children.
We value the role of parents in creating a healthy dental home for our patients. We feel communication is critical and to that end, parents and caregivers receive clear and concise communication from us regarding all dental and orthodontic procedures, treatment plans and preventative care.
We have a structured and thoughtful first visit protocol that our staff follows and all of our patients are treated with the same consideration and attentiveness, including children with special needs. We want all of our patients and caregivers to feel comfortable and confident when visiting our office.
Fun Fact: Our historic building was constructed in 1882. The Amuso family members were the first to inhabit the building and call it home. Since then, our building has housed several families, has been the site of employment for several professional offices and has even withstood a fire! In 2003, it was restored and remodeled into the Kids Are Great Dental building you see today!
Gina Lodolini received her dental degree from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery in 1990. After graduation, she completed a two-year Pediatric Dental Residency at Montefiore Medical Center. A part of her training included treating special needs children at the Rose Kennedy Center, located in the Jacobi Hospital.
Dr. Gina Lodolini is the mother of three girls, Catherine, Genevieve, and Lauren Capolongo. When not at work she enjoys cycling, reading, and dining with friends and family. She is an avid fundraiser and has participated in several charity events such as the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, Autism Speaks, and Friends of Karen.
I love my job! Other than being a mom, I cant imagine doing any other type of work. My patients have taught me so many skills over the years. Patience for one, but mostly they have taught me how to be silly whenever possible!
Received her dental degree from New York University Dental School in 1994. After graduation, she completed a two-year pediatric dental residency at Montefiore Medical Center. While at Montefiore, she trained closely under the supervision of Dr. Gina Lodolini and joined Kids Are Great in January of 1996.
When asked by friends what type of work she does they all comment that they cannot imagine a harder job. Dr. Bianchis response says it all, I have the best job in the world. Children are amazing! And they really do say the darndest things!
Received his dental degree from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery in 1990 and his Certificate in Orthodontics in 1993. He is a member of both the American Association of Orthodontists and the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists.
Dr. Neil Capolongo is the father of three daughters, Catherine, and twins, Genevieve and Lauren. In his free time, he enjoys golf, loves cooking, concerts and most of all spending time with his family.
A dental hygienist is a licensed health professional who has special training in preventative services such as dental cleanings, fluoride treatments, radiographs, oral hygiene and nutritional counseling
Our hygienists have been members of the Kids Are Great Dental staff for many years. They choose to work at our practice because of their interest in educating children and young adults on the importance of proper oral health care. Together Anne, Rachel, and Rebecca have more than twenty years of experience working with children! They are caring providers who render dental services in a gentle yet thorough manner while achieving a fun and interactive experience for your child.

I can't say enough good things about this practice. My child sees Dr Copalongo for Invisalign, he is such a great guy and it's been a great experience for my daughter.

My daughter is Autistic and has difficulty with transitions. Dr. Bianchi and her team were so patient and we got my daughter into the chair and she had a great check up and completed her X-rays. Dr. Bianchi is truly an angel.

This was by far the best experience. I had delayed taking my son to a dentist because of my own fears and because my son has different needs and lots of anxiety but had I known this was going to be the experience we received; I would have never waited this long. By the time we were leaving my son was giving Doctor L a hug! Doctor L has incredible (yes incredible) bedside manners; very thorough and really takes the time to listen to medical history (this is super important to us!!)

Amazing experience! My twins had their first appointment today and I can't see enough wonderful things about the staff and Dr. Bianchi. They were patient, gentle, and so sweet! We'll definitely be back!

Very welcoming and great experience. Due to covid in some doctor office only one person is allowed the person who is being treated. Being as my son had his first dental appointment, grandma was able to witness him.

Such a wonderful experience at the dentist! Dr. Lodolini and the entire staff is kind, patient and professional. I've known Dr. Lodolini for many years and I knew when I had children, I would bring them to see her. Even though my kids don't have fears and anxieties about the dentist, I know from other experiences that they are aware and respectful of any worries that a child and parents have. They're also a sensory-friendly office for children with sensory issues.

The dentist is great. Friendly and thorough doctor. She was amazing with my daughter. The office staff on the other hand is lazy and rude. The doctor is in network for both of my dental insurances yet staff refused to submit to my secondary insurance instead they insisted we pay out of pocket. After I payed, they then wouldn't help by providing a claim so I can submit for reimbursement. After what I've been though with the administrative staff it's only left a bad taste and makes me never want to go back to the office even though I was happy with the clinicians.

Cannot say enough good things about Dr.Gina and the entire staff at Kids are Great Dental!! The staff makes you feel welcome from the minute you walk in the door... Dr.Gina makes being at the dentist fun and is so amazing with my 4 year old that she actually looks forward to going to the dentist. :) I am so thankful i found Kids are Great Dental!

Dr. Lodolini is extremely kind and professional and takes the time to make her patients feel very comfortable. She explains everything she is doing and her support staff has always been helpful and friendly. My son is very relaxed when he goes to Dr. Lodolini & actually looks forward to the visits. He has received excellent care for almost 15 years. I highly recommend Dr. Lodolini and Kids Are Great Dental!
