Dr. Carpio continued her education in Birmingham, Alabama, earning her Pediatric Dental Certificate after completing a residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Childrens Hospital of Alabama. There she obtained extensive pediatric emergency and trauma training after serving as an on call Pediatric Dentist. She also received training at the Sparks Center for Developmental and Learning Disorders.
Dr. Carpio is fluent in English, Spanish and is trained in Sign Language for the hearing impaired. She stays on the forefront of Dentistry by being involved in numerous dental organizations. She also stays active in local community service events and has volunteered for dental mission trips. When not working, Dr. Carpio enjoys spending time with her family, listening to music, reading, cooking and traveling.
Dr. Alvaro Carpio is a second-generation dentist that has been practicing dentistry for over 15 years. He has been serving the Pearland area since 2013, providing adults and children with outstanding comprehensive and cosmetic dental care.
After a few years in private practice, Dr. Carpio continued his studies at the University of Puerto Rico where he spent three years of additional training and received a certificate for Advanced Graduate Studies in Prosthodontics this provided the foundation for the specialized care he provides today.

My children have been patients of Dr. Carpio since their 1st year of lives. My son has undergone tooth extraction when he was only 5 and everything went smoothly as expected. The clinic staff are always friendly and accommodating. The clinic itself are very comfortable and very kid friendly. They give tokens for every visit which my kids look forward to in receiving after every visit. I highly recommend the Kids and Teens Dental Place of Dr. Carpio in Pearland, Tx.

they will tell you , your kid has zero cavities!!. till they get bigger and need crows, OBVIOUSLY crowns is more money !. STAY AWAY!!

First visit, took my 2 kids. Excellent and super friendly service, they were quick in getting us seen, and had excellent bedside manners with the kids. I've been to a couple other dental offices, and they don't compare. All staff, from dentist to hygienist and admin assistants were friendly and great with kids. They explain everything and you can tell they aim to make the kids comfortable. I had a great experience

After a bad dental experience I was looking for a good dentist to help my 3 year old with some cavities, after a lot of searching, I found Dr. Carpio. She was very sweet and caring when doing the first exam and crown procedure for my son Steven. I was very nervous since he's only 3 but her staff was very patient with him. He did suffer from a small fall about 4 weeks after his crown procedure and I was worried so I called after hours at almost 8 pm and she called back within 10 minutes. She's great and helps that she speaks Spanish which comforts my son, I would recommend her and her staff for anyone who is looking for a new dentist. Any kind of dental procedure for kids is already a difficult situation for any parent, having a caring dentist like Dr. Carpio helps! And he gets a lot of compliments on his crowns!

First time here, they wanted to put 2 crowns on a 7 yo and over charged to 1,200 total. We took him to another dental office, they told us that he didn't need the crowns, or caps. The bill when down to $366. Stay away of this place. Carpio was rude when asking questions. They don't want the parents inside, I wonder why? This place didn't deserve any start. I have to put one because didn't let me post the review without starts so NO STARTS for this place.

My daughter has been a lifetime patient of Dr. Carpio since she was 6 months old. She is now 10 years old. She has had a couple procedures done with Kids n Teens Dental and have always had a great experience. Dr. Carpio is super kind, and has an amazing bedside manner, great with children. My now adult sons were also long time patients of Dr. Carpio as well with no problems at all). Wonderful doctor, assistants and support staff! Highly recommend!!

Best office my child has been to. She is terrified of the dentist and they were so patient and caring. She is only 5 and has had some real bad experiences previously at other offices. So glad I made the drive from Alvin. This will be her permanent office now

They over-booked so many persons, my son was left untreated for about one hour. They will call you to make sure get there on time to pay the money but seems never care about their bad work.

Took my daughter for a check up and she had 3 cavities. Problem was that I'd taken her 6 months prior and she had cavities then, too, just after getting braces off, which I didn't think was odd since she'd not been able to care for her teeth as well with braces. I was a dental assistant for 10 years and I thought this was suspicious. I didn't get the cavities filled. I didn't ask to see the X-rays (my fault). I took her to my dentist a few months later and he confirmed my suspicions - she had NO CAVITIES! I asked my dentist twice if she had any cavities and he confirmed that she did not. Go here at your own risk! If you do, ask to see the X-rays. Decay on X-rays will be dark spots/shadows. The worse the decay the darker and bigger it will look and it will go through the enamel and penetrate the dentin. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!

The experience was okay , you guys have so many patients that everything has to go fast . So when you do treatments on the kids your a little ruff & trying to hurry & get the job done . You guys should numb the kids then wait a min & numb them again so they won't feel as much of the pain . Then they are scared to come back a little gentleness will go along way for the kids . And you guys don't inform the parents about the kids being strapped down & that's scary for them .the main doctor just wants money so she try's to do treatments fast and quick she rude and she talks to her assistance crazy the only nice person is the Receptionist
