Dr. Farideh Golestani began practicing pediatric dentistry after graduating from New York University Dental School in 1993. She completed her advanced education in pediatric dentistry in 1995 and taught pediatric dentistry at her alma mater. Dr. Golestani also underwent two years of intensive pediatric training and focuses on care for children with special needs.

Dr. Kevin Persily graduated from Brooklyn College in 1973 and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1976 from New York University Dental School. In 1981, he graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey with a specialization in Orthodontics. Dr. Persily maintains memberships with the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, and Association of Functional Orthodontists.

Dr. Gordon Barnes, a board-certified dental anesthesiologist, graduated from New York University College of Dentistry and the University of Health Sciences, Antigua School of Medicine. He possesses years of experience in delivering anesthetic care to pediatric and special needs patients. He also holds a diploma from the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology. Dr. Barnes maintains memberships in the American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists and the Society for Ambulatory Anesthesia.

Dr. Shahid Aziz is the co-founder and President of Smile Bangladesh. A first-generation Bengali-American, Dr. Aziz has been leading a small team of surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to Bangladesh since 2006. To date, his teams have treated about 1100 children and adults with cleft lip and palate deformities.

Dr. Golestani graduated fromThe New York University Dental Schoolin 1993, and completed her advanced education in Pediatric Dentistry in 1995. She has taught Pediatric Dentistry at The New York University Dental School.

As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Golestani has two years advanced pediatric training and education beyond dental school with a focus on care for children with special needs. The dental care for these children can be provided under a normal dental setting or under some form of sedation, in our office. Dr. Golestani will review your childs treatment options with you.

Dr. Kevin Persily is committed to providing quality orthodontic treatment while exceeding his patients and parents expectations with fantastic results. While he has a strong focus on clinical excellence, Dr. Persily also enjoys helping both children and adults have a positive and fun orthodontic experience. He loves creating beautiful smiles for his patients to show off for the rest of their lives.

Dr. Persily graduated from Brooklyn College in 1973. He then attended New York University Dental School and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1976. Dr. Persily completed his residency in Texas with the Army in 1979. In 1981, he graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey with his specialty certificate in orthodontics.

Committed to continuing his education, Dr. Persily takes an average of 40 hours of continuing education courses and seminars throughout the year. Much of this is facilitated by his memberships with the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, and the Association of Functional Orthodontists.

Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Dr. Persily has lived in Livingston for more than 30 years. His proudest achievement is his family; Dr. Persily is married and has a daughter. In his spare time, Dr. Persily enjoys playing tennis and relaxing with his family.

Dr. ShahidAzizis the co-founder and President of Smile Bangladesh. Dr.Azizis a Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Rutgers University, is a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr.Azizis also an Attending Surgeon at University Hospital (Newark, NJ), St. Josephs Regional Medical Center, Paterson, NJ, Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center, New Brunswick, NJ, and Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack, NJ. He is a graduate of the Lawrenceville School and Rutgers College. Dr.Azizreceived his dental degree from Harvard University School of Dental Medicine and his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed his general surgery and oral/maxillofacial surgery training at New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia University Medical Center. He has authored or co-authored over 50 peer reviewed journal articles and ten book chapters.

Dr.Azizs clinical area of expertise includes facial trauma and reconstruction and orthognathic surgery. He currently serves as President-elect of the New Jersey Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Chairman of the Section of Dentistry, and Oral Health of the New York Academy of Medicine, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
