ABOUT Dr. Masha was born in Russia and moved to the U.S. when she was a teenager. She met her husband when they were studying together at dental school. They have 2 daughters. Dr. Masha is fluent in Russian, she speaks it daily with her parents, daughters and standard poodle, Jessie. When she is not in the office, Dr. Masha enjoys all things fitness from boot camps to barre classes. In her free time, Dr. Masha also loves to travel and spend time with her family.

This was my son first visit to this dentist office. Let me say, the staff was amazing and very polite. We came in to get sealants done and they were great with my son. We finally found a good dentist that take good care of the kids needs. Totally recommend this office to everyone.

We love it here at Kids 1st dental. Dr. Masha is exceptional and very knowledgeable! They are wonderful with all FIVE of our girls, especially our daughter with special needs! Very kid friendly. Our girls look forward to coming here!! All of the staff is super sweet!

They are truly there for the children. They love what they do. They are great in my eyes. I live aways away, all places in my hometown were either closed on Fridays or not accepting new patients. All else said he could wait until Monday (it being Friday). They listened, got us in, simplified the whole procedure. ...and my child did not leave traumatized. I do nightly recommend.

UPDATE: I have been calling again to move an appointment and no call back. Of course no one ever answers. Then i tried calling to cancel the appointment because I'm DONE with this terrible service...no response. Now I just got a reminder of an upcoming appointment that I am unable to cancel because no one will pick up the phone or return my messages. I've also emailed with no response back. If you look at the many recent terrible reviews, the owner always responds with a "canned" apology to everyone but nothing changes. I'm never coming back here. SO sad that this practice was sold to incompetent professionals. _______________________________________________________________ My son has been coming to this dentist office for years. I've never had any issues until recently. I called the office to change his appointment and kept getting voicemail (not calling during lunch either). I left messages but NEVER got a call back. I finally tried again today and someone actually answered & assisted me. Hopefully this was just an oversight. Normally the customer service and front desk is very good.

Loved dr. Dean. Went in today with the new dentist and was beyond disappointed. I have taken all three of my kids here since they have been going to the dentist. Which recent ally switched dentist to dr sopazhnikov and now am looking for a new dentist. My daughter had gotten a cavity filled couple years ago and which after seeing the new dentist recently had said it needs to be crowned with a silver crown because of a cavity growing. I had asked how was it filled in and still have cavity issue, was answered with I don't know. Sometimes this sometimes that. When she then showed me the silver crown that was going to be put in my daughter's mouth I was not OK with and have never even heard of. Long story short instead of helping me understand or getting somewhere where we both are happy I was told I can go find a second opinion. This is one thing I thought I had checked off my list we never had to worry about finding another dentist and here I am. Wish I could track down Dr. Dean and be a patient again. This was all after she was too busy to have a conversation after my kids appointment and was supposed to call me for a follow up and never did. So after wanting to give my daughter this huge silver tooth I said I would like to talk about my son's past appointment because I was never called. If it weren't for the other doctor walking in who knows how long I would've been sitting there. Needless to say with the new dentist I do not recommend this office at all and am very disappointed.

This location has had a drop off since the lead dentist left a year or so ago. Wait times have been to long and new faces each time we've been there. The people there are nice but it's just not the same.

We've been with this office for years and truly loved Dr. Dean and his staff. However, it went down hill the minute he left. My teen has been in every three months for cleanings to help with their hygiene while they have braces. They've always been a bit disorganized but I chalked that up to being new. Our appt this time was pretty awful. They called us about two hours prior to our appt to ask if we could come in 40 mins earlier. No problem! We got there and my teen wasn't seen until almost out original appt time. Frustrating. Even more frustrating is that a cleaning took a total of 1 hour 45 mins. They were beyond disorganized in gathering some paperwork at the end. To top it off, when we got home we noticed the horrible job that was done on the cleaning. It appears the front was barely touched and I'm so frustrated every time I leave the office Im not going to bother to ask them to make it right. Im just really disappointed, and regret staying after the other dentist left.

Not a great office for children diagnosed with Autism. Dentist seemed scared of my son's medical issue. Schedule was wrong and acted as if we were a bother to be there. Care was done fine at another dental office 3 days later without narcotics or numbing at all. We won't be returning and question the practice after seeing how easy it was somewhere else yesterday.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. We started going to this practice when my oldest was only 4... about 8 years ago. At first it was always a great experience, the prior dentist was great and office ran smoothly. Recently they have turned over more than one dentist and front office staff that just continues to fail at quality service or getting any better. First issue arose when my youngest daughter was there for treatment and was given a sedative cocktail on an empty stomach, then got sick in their lobby. This was after I tried to get the attention of more than 5 people chatting behind the front desk when my daughter first told me she was going to be sick so they could unlock the door to the bathroom. Afterwards it was another parent who helped us out and the staff continued to neglect knowing anything was happening or help at all. Back in June, both my children went in for standard cleaning appointments. They made jokes about the condition of my oldest daughters teeth and gums, then scheduled us for appointments for some fillings about a month out. The first call I received to reschedule this due to doctor vacation they didn't have in their system, they had my children scheduled for a completely different date than what was given on the appointment card. We rescheduled only for me to receive another call about a week later saying the doctor would still be on vacation for the new appointment time and had to be rescheduled again. I requested dates trying to get the appointments completed prior to the start of school, now two months after being told this work was "urgent" and needed to be done asap. When I received a call back days later, they had forgotten my daughter's names and had no notes about the request for dates then told me they had nothing available, however they could refer us to another sister practice, but that office didn't have availability until more than two weeks after what was requested. The sense of urgency and care received here has just continued to decline in the most disappointing way leading me to feel this review and explanation was necessary for anyone else who is interested in trying this office. **UPDATE** My oldest daughter whom the jokes were made about in this office by the staff just had her last baby teeth pulled, all of which had work done by this office prior. There was more than once abcsess that had been there since our appointment with Kids 1st. Even further reason this place is clearly just racking in what they can from insurance benefits and not providing quality care. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. THERE ARE PLENTY OF PEDIATRIC DENTISTS IN MCKINNEY!!

Worst encounter we have ever had at this dentist. Waited for an hour to be seen, the staff didn't speak english and I have no clue how any of my kids teeth are because the Dr didn't explain anything to me. Will be switching dentists.
