This is an awful place. They have awful bedside manner! They do not need to work with children if they can handle them. Definitely unprofessional. Very ruff with smaller kids and if your child has anxiety they freak our act like they don't know how to handle them.

Meh... that's about it. Front desk staff aren't rude but certainly aren't inviting. Dental hygienists are nice, but it felt very rushed. They "cleaned" two of my children's teeth the fastest I've ever witnessed and didn't even put a scaler/scraper to them. They polished them for about 30 seconds and put fluoride on them and done. The dentist wouldn't speak to my kids, mumbled some junk to the hygienists and yelled for the next patient. Definitely not a kid friendly place and not concerned about providing quality care or services.

We've been coming here for years and I'm currently looking for a new dentist. The past few times they have called last minute to reschedule the appointment stating the doctor is coming in later, and then you come and wait an hour and thirty minutes or more. I have had to wait extensively the past few times I've come. They say they're behind but it's obvious they're scheduling too many appointments. I am contacting my insurance today to find a new dentist. You shouldn't treat people this way, my son had to miss an entire day of school for a cleaning.

When you're in a profession and deal with children you should present yourself in a manner where the child becomes comfortable with you. Not only was my child uncomfortable, so was I. The doctor never looked at me nor said a word to me when he entered the room. He did not greet his patient, my daughter, he only gave direction. He entered, gave her a shot, left, returned and filled her tooth. He left the room without a simple word of "goodbye" . The assistant came in and said to come back in 6 months and left the room. No one directed us that they were done and to leave. We eventually left after a couple of minutes of confusion. Needless to say, we will not be returning. I would rather drive 35 minutes to the next city if that means we will be treated with care and dignity.

Not one to leave a review. But this place needs one. I have another dentist for my daughter who is 3 years old. Was referred to kid smiles for a fill in. Went the 1st time and they did a cleaning though I didn't get referred for that and even when I said that they still told me I had to make another appointment for her fill in. So I did and came back a second time. The actual doctor doing the fill in DID NOT make my daughter comfortable at all! Doing everything rushed. Didn't acknowledge me nor my daughter. My daughter doesn't speak since she does have a disability (yes its stated on her chart). and from her being scared he was not gentle nor tried her calm down at all. I can tell he was getting frustrated but she is ONLY 3! once he was done he just walks out without a word. Without telling me daughter anything not even me. She is my 1st and only child so this is my first time having to do this and don't know if there is any after care for the fill in so im just left in confusion. I had to ask his assistant, when thats something the doctor will just tell me if there is anything i should avoid for a while or not. She has to get other fill ins done but NO! I will not be bringing my daughter back to this horrendous place with an unprofessional doctor who clearly doesn't know how to work with children. Id much rather to Raleigh before my daughter is ever taken care of here again. One start cause i cant give 0.

(TL/DR): I would not recommend. I've been taking my kids to Kid Smiles for over 5+ years at their Asheboro location and currently looking for a new pediatric dentist. In the beginning, the service provided by their Asheboro location was great but lately, their customer service and professionalism have been below average; hence my 1-star rating. I had two visits within the last few weeks since this review. These visits were for my 5-year-old and this was her second experience with Kid Smiles. My child was nervous about the visit and started crying when the cleaning started. Because my child started crying I felt that both the dental hygienist and the doctor were rushing and wanted to get us out the door as fast as possible. I feel that this being a pediatric dentistry office the staff should have the experience and the patience to deal with children a lot better than they did with my child. At no point did they try to calm my child down I was just told to hold her arms and keep her mouth open. I made the mistake of taking my child back for a second visit to fix another issue. Our appointment was set for 9:00 AM. When we arrived, we were told by the front desk that they could not see us because there was not a doctor in the office. We had to wait over 2 hours until a doctor arrived. Yes, I could reschedule and come back at another time, but my issue with that is why didn't the office reach out to us to reschedule the appointment or at least let us know that our appointment was canceled. This experience was not the first time we've been told there is no doctor in the office. Multiple times we've been told that Kid Smiles only does certain procedures on certain days or they have to first check their schedule if a doctor will be in the office. I believe this may be due to part that Kid Smiles has different locations in the Triad.

I will never take my child back there again. They were told to add my number to the account for my child and didn't do as asked and instead they are texting my childs father about appointments etc and I have a protective order against him.......how smart is that. Says a lot about how this office is ran

Not happy with the services. They didn't make us feel comfortable at all even from the time you walk into the office just rude attitudes from the people working there. Then they have you wait in line with a group of other people when it's time for X-rays. They automictically want to restrain your child even when they are laying still and doing great which causes them to instantly get nervous and cry because they don't like the feeling which who can blame them. They are quick to want to just pull any bad teeth instead of trying to fix them. We wasas there getting one tooth pulled & they checked all the other teeth and said they look good, went for a check up/cleaning and now they want to all of a sudden pull two more? It's absurd!!! Keep your children AWAY from this place!!! We have since moved to a much better place.

We left sparkling smiles and came here. At first I thought they were okay. But their probably on the same level if not worse. Things always feel rushed and new assistants are always there. They stay booked up but I don't think that speaks to their practice as much as the insurance they take. The last three appts we had that they made they would call and try to reschedule so we finally decided to leave. I'm glad we did.

Everytime my kids have an appointment you have to wait over an hour to get into a chair for a cleaning and the dentist treat your kids like an assembly line and the only nice ones are the dental assistance who clean your children's teeth! The bathrooms are disgusting and don't have paper towels!

My daughter had a tooth ache (turns out to be an abscessed tooth when we went to a different dentist) and I called for 2 weeks straight, everyday and multiple times. Never got a response from the voicemails and never got anyone on the phone. When I finally went up there to make an appointment for her, they didn't have any records on either of my children and we had been there multiple times already. I called around and got in touch with Travis Kids in Greensboro and switched and it it was the best decision ever. Kids Smile in Asheboro. Do better.

My daughter had an appointment in April they called to say they needed to reschedule because no one was going to be in Asheboro I missed the call. Well I called and no answer I called High point and they said they had phone problems so they took a note. I called the next day after work 4pm and still no call. When i said cant you schedule her in the system in HP to Asheboro they said NO, mind you my sister in law worked there in HP and she would do it from there. They just didn't want to. Well I called today they put me on hold and never answered I hung up and called again and now my number seems blocked. From what my sister in law says they cant keep people because they are unprofessional don't waste your time here! & from all the other reviews seems likely they are true.

We had a wonderful experience. My son was nervous to get his cavity filled. Dr. Lamboy quickly put him at ease; which made a potentially stressful situation for my child flow seamlessly. Dr. Lamboy seems to have a gift when it comes to interacting with kids, which is a necessity when your child is in the dentist chair. Thanks so much Kids Smiles!

Every time my kids have appointments here we have to wait for long periods of time. They also constantly call and change my appointments stating that nobody will be in the office. The staff is friendly but they bring in way to many patients at once especially with COVID-19 going on.

I don't even want to give it a star. I got 2 text messages yesterday and a week ago to confirm my appointment for today. I get to the building and no one is there. No note on door to inform me of anything and no message on phone recording to let me know anything. I call at 9:30 after sitting there for 30mins to be told they didn't have a number on file to contact me. I have been using kid smiles for 5 or 6 years now and you can't tell me you don't have a number on file. I will not be using this business any more and I hope that no one else has the problem I did.

Every time my kids have an appointment here the wait times are crazy. Today after sitting in the office for 30 min after my appointment time the dentist FINALLY pulled in....There were multiple children in there that has appointments starting at 12 and 12:15. Well at 12:45 the dentist comes back and calls out some patients names...well those had JUST walked in the door (within 5 min, we actually knew them too) for cleanings. My son and another mans son had appointments to get either a fill-in or an extraction....PLEASE tell me why the patients that were there for a cleaning were called first?! When these two boys have to be numbed and possibly use laughing gas? Who's appointment time was BEFORE those cleanings? ( we asked the parent we knew) This is the last time we will be coming here.
