Dr. Smita Patel has been creating beautiful smiles with the latest types of braces in Washington since 2007. She was born in India and grew up in Bolton, England. She earned her bachelors degree in Chemistry and Computer Science at Nottingham Trent University before coming to the United States to attend graduate school. She graduated from the University of South Florida with her masters degree in Biochemistry and went on to pursue her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2003 from Nova Southeastern College of Dental Medicine. In addition, she completed a General Practice residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in North Miami Beach.
Having gained a finer appreciation for dental esthetics and the importance of a good bite she went back to school to obtain advanced training in Orthodontics. She earned a masters degree and a certificate in Orthodontics from Marquette University.
During her tenure at Nova Southeastern she received the Eleanor J. Bushee Senior Student Award for her academic excellence and outstanding leadership and was elected by the faculty into membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the well-recognized dental honor society for academic achievement and leadership in dentistry.

I found this dentist during the pandemic and they are the best! They have always had patients with my son who is austic and continue to work with him and not do more then he can handle!

Good place but they change Doctor's often. I did call and speak to the office manager and she never returned my call to follow up with anything.

While I understand that this office serves mostly WA Apple health patients I feel that the doctor/patient relationship is strongly lacking. My child needs a grind guard and the doctor stated that service was only for ortho patients? I had other questions for my child's care and special toothpaste prescribed but doc left in a rush and we didn't receive instructions. People are still people even under Apple health and should receive quality care.

So far there's been one person that has done a half decent job at customer service and care. Percilla. Everyone else in the front desk has been very difficult and aloof as to what's going on with billing, treatment and appointments. There could definitely be improvement in the front desk communication and service.

Everyone is so helpful and friendly here. Very quick appointments and barely any waiting time. My son will need braces and the dentist and his assistants do a great job keeping him comfortable and explaining everything to us.

Everyone here is extremely nice and patient/gentle with my 2 year old who has been here 3 times now. She has no fear going in because everyone makes her feel comfortable and we have nothing but good things to say.

If I could give a zero I would. Front desk ladies seemed to not care about the job. I've never been to a dentist where they put toothpaste on a toothbrush and brush the teeth and call it a cleaning. And that's not even the only complaint...there's quite a few more things I could mention but it's not worth it. I just know I would never take my kids back there nor would I ever recommend this place. If I could give zero stars I would.

My kids have been patients at kids dental for a few years now and I'm still very happy with their care. I speak very highly of them and refer any friends looking for a good dentist for their kids. They are great at scheduling around your busy life. And have always been very friendly.

This was our first visit to this office and everyone was very nice and attentive to us. We're going back for a follow-up and we have an appointment with the orthodontist.

Didn't like the fact that I was not informed before getting there today that I could not go in with my child and was to sit out side in my car. I understand the idea of physical safety during this Covid-19 experience but my not telling me of the changes I was not able to prepare my child, I have always gone in with her for all of her appointments, she is only 8 and has some problems. Today caused her more stress!!!!!!!

Just no. Dentist refuses to do work on a very well-behaved child without the damn down her throat or without nitrous oxide found another dentist that is more accommodating worked out well. I do not recommend this place. She is a do as I say not what you desire for your child dentist so no I don't recommend.
