At his practice, Dr. Farzaneh cares for patients using the latest advances in oral and maxillofacial surgery. These include Nobel Guide, which is a CT-guided implant planning and placement technology, and 'Teeth in an Hour,' a service that helps people who need immediate dental implants. He is one of the few surgeons trained in placement of the Zygomatic Implants, a procedure that eliminates the need for bone grafts in severely resorbed jaws.
Dr. Farzaneh graduated with honors from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 1999. He completed a one-year internship in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Highland General Hospital/University of the Pacific. He then completed a four-year oral and maxillofacial residency program at the same hospital.
Dr. Farzaneh has received multiple certificates in the area of dental implants, including certificates from Nobel Biocare, one of the worlds leading authorities on dental implants. He is also currently on staff at John Muir Medical Center, a major trauma center in the Bay Area.
He is a member of numerous associations, including the California Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Contra Costa Dental Society, Academy of Osseointegration, and Sadi Fontaine Academy.
Dr. Farzaneh continues to keep updated with the newest advances in oral and maxillofacial surgery. His goal is to make oral surgery simple for patients and to perform procedures with the highest level of predictability. To give back, he lectures and offers continuing education to his colleagues in the state of California.

Dr Kian has helped 2 times, 1 for taking my wisdom teeth with sedation and the recent one for taking my molar normally. Both are great, my pain gone and all done carefully and professionally. I will definitely will look for him if i need to take out my teeth again in the future

This is the third time I had to be in Dr. Farzaneh's care in about 16 years. This last time, I waited for 2 months to get the appointment. I did not want to try a new surgeon. And, I did not have to take any post operative medicines because I barely had any pain or complication. The procedure itself was also eventfree. Every single time his team has also been near perfect. I was terrified for years to get my wisdom teeth extracted. I put it off as long as I could. But after I went for my consult with Dr. Farzaneh, I felt a lot better because he put my fears at ease. And the procedure was as easy as he made it sound. I had deep sedation, woke up and it was done. I had some discomfort, but it was taken care of by Ibuprofen and ice. Not nearly as painful as I had imagined. And Dr. Farzaneh called to check up on me that evening, which was extra comforting. I liked the fact that the office gave me a food list and detailed instructions ahead of time so I could prepare before the surgery. Nothing but a great experience!

I was really nervous about getting my wisdom teeth out (particularly the part about going under) however, Dr. F eased my anxieties so well & talked me through every step. My recovery has also been very smooth & I experienced little to no pain. Would highly recommend this office & doctor

My husband had a couple of teeth extracted and healed beautifully. He is terrified of dentists but had a good experience. My husband said the sedation was quick and easy and he remembers nothing else. Everyone there is efficient and friendly.

I have my wisdom teeth removed. Dr.Farzaneh and his team are very professional. I was fully informed what to expect before the surgery and felt little to no pain after the surgery. My mouth swelled a little bit but nothing too severe that prevented me from eating and sleeping. I've been recovering very well.
