Dr. Khanna grew up in Toronto, Canada where he attended the University of Toronto and completed his Bachelor of Science degree (1989). He then continued post graduate school at the University Of Detroit Mercy- School Of Dentistry and earned is D.D.S. degree (1993). Dr. Khanna then completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Rochester-Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York (1994). After being an associate dentist for several years, Dr. Khanna opened his practice (March 2000) in beautiful downtown Geneva, Illinois.
Gina has been a Clinical Chairside Specialist for Khanna Dentistry since May of 1997. She graduated with a certificate in Dental Assisting from Triton College in 1983. Prior to joining Dr. Khannas team Gina had the opportunity to gain experience in many different areas of Dentistry while working in practices in Illinois and California.
Gina has an extensive background and strong passion for Oral Surgery. She has completed training at the University of Chicago in assisting for Conscious IV sedation, which is provided at Khanna Dentistry.
Gina is married to Doug, they have two grown children Andrea, who is a 2021 graduate of the John Marshal Law School, and Danny a financial software consultant living in Arizona. As often as they are able, they love spending family time together. In her free time, Gina enjoys cooking, crafting, golf, travel, and spoiling their puppy Sonny.
Taylor joins are team with a combination of 6 years in the hospitality industry and 10 years in the medical field. She spent her time at two luxury hotels ensuring guests enjoyed four diamond customer service, planned special events and maintained an award winning wine list. As a nursing assistant and endoscopic technician, Taylor assisted physicians in providing excellent care and treatment for patients in addition to being a strong member of their front desk team. During her down time, Taylor volunteers at LivingWell Cancer Resource Center and has a passion for photography and fine wines.
I was born and raised in Lithuania and moved to the United States in 2001. In 2011 I graduated from College of DuPage and became a dental hygienist. While working with excellent dentists, I have gained extensive knowledge to be committed in educating and encouraging each patient about the best dental health possible. I have advanced training in administering Local anesthesia. I participate in continuing education to grow professionally and to provide the best available treatment choices for my patients. I have a passion for the well-being of every patient along with helping them maintain a healthy andbeautiful smile.
Before becoming a hygienist, my previous degree was in violin performance. My appreciation for the performing arts includes opera, symphony, chamber music, and theater. In addition, I love gourmet cooking, fine dining, traveling, yoga, bowling, and spending time outside biking and skiing. I am naturally curious about the sciences and love reading scientific articles.
I feel honored to have joined Dr. Khannas team in March of 2019 and I support Dr. Khannas patient care philosophy with my full confidence. I am looking forward to building lasting relationships with each patient in our practice.
Molly joined the Khanna Dentistry team in 2021. She graduated with a degree in dental hygiene from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale in 1993, where her classmates voted her best smile. After practicing in Illinois and Colorado, she left the dental field to raise her children.
The T-Scan Occlusal Analysis device is the only tool that can accurately read a patients occlusion. Understanding the precise occlusion of each patient can prevent damage to the teeth or a new dental restoration. T-Scan is also helpful for treating TMJ and correcting malocclusion.
T-Scan allows Dr. Khanna to evaluate the force and distribution of the bite. The handheld device is non-invasive and provides a precise occlusal analysis. T-Scan is designed to determine where teeth are coming into contact with each other and can pinpoint high force areas allowing for more accurate treatment.
The Picasso Plus Dental Laser helps makes treating soft tissue dental concerns less invasive and more precise. From effective gum disease treatment to gum contouring and teeth whitening, laser dentistry improves the way patients experience dentistry.
Picasso Plus Dental Laser reduces the need to use invasive surgical techniques when treating issues such as a frenectomy or reducing a gummy smile. Laser dentistry promotes natural healing and eliminates the need for sutures and long downtimes after treatment.
The Pax-I SC from Vatech increases diagnostic and treatment accuracy. The digital panoramic & Cephalometric scanner provides highly accurate and detailed images of the jaws, teeth, TMJ, and airway. The high-quality images allow for enhanced details and for better diagnosis of developing dental concerns.
Many patients, especially younger patients, are very familiar with the latest technology and are more comfortable with the high-tech practice. Computers and TV screens are their primary method of information processing. Dr. Khanna utilizes intraoral camera technology that helps enhance your understanding of your diagnosis.
An intraoral camera is a very small camera. In some cases, an intraoral camera is just a few millimeters long. This tiny camera allows Dr. Khanna to view clear, precise images of your mouth, teeth, and gums, in order to accurately make a diagnosis. With clear, defined, enlarged images, you see details that may be missed by standard mirror examinations. This can mean a faster diagnosis with less chair-time for you!
Intraoral cameras also enable Dr. Khanna to save your images in our office computer to provide a permanent record of treatments. These treatments can be printed out for you, other specialists, your lab or insurance companies.
Dr. Khanna chooses carefully which and when radiographs are taken. There are many guidelines that we follow. Radiographs allow us to see everything we cannot see with our own eyes. Radiographs enable us to detect cavities in between your teeth, determine bone level, and health of bone. We can also examine the roots and nerves of teeth, diagnose lesions such as cysts or tumors, as well as assess damage when trauma occurs.
Dental radiographs are invaluable aids in diagnosing, treating, and maintaining dental health. Exposure time for dental radiographs is extremely minimal. Dr. Khanna utilizes digital imaging technologies within the office. With digital imaging, exposure time is about 50 percent less when compared to traditional radiographs. Digital imaging can also help us retrieve valuable diagnostic information. We may be able to see cavities better.
Dr. Khanna and his Periodontal Therapist use a tool to accurately detect dental decay. A small hand held instrument passes light through enamel and measures fluorescence. Any decay or weakening of the enamel surface will produce some fluorescence by the light and will be detected by the instrument.
A beautiful, attractive smile always leaves a lasting first impression. Unfortunately, most patients are not able to see this unless they go through treatment. One of the things most patients would like to see is an image of their smile and teeth before they are restored.
As a result, we have implemented an imaging software that allows you to see what your smile and teeth would look like after they are restored. The results are remarkable. Realistic, life like images. There are many advantages for offering this service. The most important one, is the ability for our patients to evaluate the final result before even beginning treatment. Our patients then have the opportunity to give us feedback on how they feel, and make any changes that are suitable. This software allows us to do many things that include whitening, straightening, and smile improvements.

I was referred to Dr. Khanna by Dr. Debra Lowry and it was the best thing that ever happened to me! I have suffered from TMJ for as long as I can rememeber, and just when I thought it was something I would have to endure for the rest of my life, I met Dr. Khanna. He took the time to understand my situation and came up with a plan that made sense and is working! Not only is he amazing but his entire staff is OUTSTANDING! When I went back for my second appointment it was like they all had known me for years. If I could give 10 stars I would! Thank you Dr. Khanna and staff for relieving me of a life time of pain.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Khanna for over 20 years. Dr. Khanna is extremely knowledgeable, caring, and trustworthy. He takes time to explain everything and patiently answers my million questions. The staff are exceptional. Taylor and Molly are accommodating, kind, and always welcoming. Daina is comforting and kind. I don't see Gina much but she's always been amazing. I truly can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Khanna and his staff. Absolutely phenomenal.

If I could give them more than five stars I would . Dr Khanna and his team are amazing . From the moment you walk in you feel welcomed. Dr Khanna takes the time to explain to you everything in terms that you would understand, which I appreciate. I used to not look forward to going to the dentist , but now I do . This tells you how great Dr Khanna and his team are. I'm truly happy to have found their practice. In such a short amount of time I'm already seeing significant improvements in my gum health. I highly recommend them!

I'm in my 70's; and, I've seen many dentists throughout the years. Most all are personable and some are better than others; but, I find Dr. Khanna to be the best of the best. He is genuinely concerned about my dental needs, as well as my overall health and well being. He and his staff are very accommodating and they always take the time to explain things and to answer all of your questions and concerns. I have never experienced any pain or discomfort during my appointments, and all procedures are done quickly and professionally. In fact, I'm so comfortable during the procedures that I'm thinking of faking some problems just for the experience. ... Well, maybe that's a stretch, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Khanna to anyone. He and his staff are simply the best!

Dr. Khanna is very kind and does not make you feel bad for not going to the dentist for a very long time. That was my worry when I first started seeing him. Daina, his hygienist, is the best I've ever had. She is informative, gentle, and very sweet. Everyone in the office is kind and they make me feel very welcome. I can't wait to see my smile when all of the work I need is done!

About a year ago the dentist I had used for over 30 years had to close his practice due to health issues. My son has been a patient of Dr. Khanna's for over 20 years and highly recommended him. I couldn't be happier. The entire staff is so friendly and professional. It starts with the warm welcome you receive from Taylor and Molly to the chair side attention from Gina (including a warm herbal neck wrap! ) . After the initial exam Dr. Khanna explained what needed to be done, answered my questions thoroughly and a plan of care was established. Since my former dentist had not been available for about a year there were several issues to address. Dr. Khanna has an excellent "chair side manner" and a very gentle technique. He and Gina work together so smoothly that as the patient you feel very comfortable. He personally called twice as a follow up to see how I was doing after a root canal and another procedure. I would highly recommend him.

Twenty years ago, I was looking for a dentist. I ended up with the best dentist I could possibly have. Because of him, my two sons never had a fear of going to the dentist even at a very young age. Dr. Khanna and his staff have always made the office very inviting. They have an excellent rapport with their clients. We talk, laugh and joke around; I always feel welcome at their office. It's like being with family. If you are in or near the Geneva area, there is no dentistry practice better than Khanna Dentistry. They are absolutely the best.

Dr. Khanna removed my four wisdom teeth and it was a relatively easy procedure. I really appreciate the way he administered the local Novocain anesthesia. He has a gentle way of making it almost painless. Our family have been patients of his practice for many years. He has corrected teeth issues other dentists have not been able to address. For services including routine cleanings and fillings to restorative dentistry, we have had wonderful experiences such that we have stayed with the practice in spite of having to drive over 50 miles to the office after we moved a few years ago.

I've never met a dentist who is more thorough in his exam and caring in his approach to dentistry than Dr. Khanna. Similar to building a house, the Doctor needs to understand the foundation of his patient's mouth and medical history in order to offer complete care. My husband and I are thrilled to be in the care of Dr. Khanna and his entire, very capable and professional staff!

This practice is truly remarkable. Dr. Khanna and his staff are by far the best at what they do. They take the time to get to know their patients and provide them with personalized service and care. I visited Dr. Khanna for recurring jaw pain and tightness (TMJ), a problem in which I had previously seen two other dentists for with no lasting solution. He was the first to take his time and walk me through the treatment process, ensuring I fully understood what he was doing and the reasoning behind it. He completley readjusted my bite and took many impressions to ensure it was perfected. After readjusting my bite, I was treated with Botox to relax my jaw muscle and ease the pain, which was a treatment I never would have thought of! After about a year of struggling with daily pain and tension, interfering with my everyday life, two weeks after the Botox treatment I experienced amazing relief and each day since, the pain has been subsiding. I am so appreciative of the results and treatment I have received from this practice and highly recommend them for all dental care including pain management!
