Dr. Monzon has practiced dentistry for 28 years in the Illinois Valley. He believes that every person should be treated as one of his own family, with gentle care, compassion, and to the best of his abilities. He strives to foster a warm, welcoming, positive, and supportive environment for all. It is important for him to take the time to listen to all his patients needs and wants, to develop a long-term personal relationship, and tailor treatment to each individual.
Dr. Monzon believes in volunteering for his community and for those less fortunate. He enjoys hiking, bicycling, snorkeling and SCUBA diving, photography, traveling, fishing, hunting, jazz, blues, and a good cup of coffee.
Shelly is a registered dental hygienist who received her Associates Degree in 1993 from Illinois Central College in Peoria, IL. Shelly has been a hygienist for over 20 years. She has a fun-loving and positive personality and genuinely cares about your oral health and well-being. Shelly truly understands advanced dentistry and how to help you achieve a healthy smile. Shelly has recently become certified in the soft tissue laser, which is the latest and most advanced technology used to treat gum and bone disease.
Shelley has been a registered dental hygienist since 1987. Shelley recently relocated back to the area after practicing in the same dental office for 17 years in Carlton, Oregon. She is trained to administer local anesthesia and to use the soft tissue laser to treat gingivitis and periodontal disease. Shelley loves working with people and considers dental and overall health very important. In her free time, Shelley enjoys photography, painting, and working in childrens ministry.

All employees make me feel comfortable when I am there. I suffer from high anxiety from bad experiences in the past . And everyone here cares and puts me in a very calm energy .

I had an emergency appointment today and was very pleased. Even though I was not on the schedule until today, the doctor and staff worked efficiently to diagnose my problem. They answered all of my questions and made suggestions for the treatment plan. The staff is always friendly, as they were today.

My wife and I have both been to many dentists in our lifetime and Dr m did an excellent job. My wife and I like him very much he was very professional and did an outstanding job. As I said we have both been to many dentists in our lifetime and as far as we are concerned he is one of the best.

The actual work of the dentistry was awesome! I have 0 complaints there. I have an issue with the office side. This is the reason for only 3 stars. I handed them an insurance card and they said they needed my wife's SS number. I said I don't have it. When I checked out they made me pay for the visit(an initial one). They repeatedly said they needed her SS etc.. So my next visit I go in and tell them that the insurance company said you do not need her SS number. Low and behold that visit was covered and I still have not given that information to them. (BTW, my wife is the main insured on the plan and I would be part of the family on it). So, I would have thought a stand up place would have gone back and re ran my first visit through the insurance that I presented them the first time and either gave me a credit or issued me a refund for whatever portion was covered. I haven't heard from them. Sad. I guess the next time I go in I raise a few questions.

Shout out to all the staff at Kewanee Family Dentistry- I was so impressed with how good they were with my son and how comfortable they made him feel during a not-so-fun trip. I was even dreading the appointment and left there with a happy kid who did great because of them. Thank you all

This place is still great with patient/customer service. They talk to friendly and smile. Even though you can't see them due to the masks. The calmness and reassurance you receive from all that work there is unsurpassed. I wish all businesses had the employees that they have. Thank you again Kewanee Family Dentistry. Great job. The new Dentist is friendly and knowledgeable. I'm never in worry there.

Everything from arrival to when you leave is so well coordinated. The staff continuously keeps you up to date on the procedures. Would totally agree their practice is the best one in the area.
