At Jeffers Family Dentistry we recognize the unique opportunity we have as a multigenerational work team. Each one of us are dedicated and honest individuals who take great pride in our work. Over the years we have figured out what works and what doesnt. We have learned the difference between too much, too little and just right. Together we bring our training, education and experiences to create a practice that provides a variety of dental treatments that are comfortable, safe and customized for individual patient needs. It means a lot to treat people as family and we stand behind that core value.

My work is so much more than just fixing teeth. It is about creating confidence in each and every smile that I care for. It is about family and community and caring for each person as though they are my brother or sister. It is about always doing the right thing and listening to my patients needs and desires for their dental health. It is my job to help each patient make the best choices for themselves and to guide them in the best way possible to healthy beautiful teeth. I am a fearful dental patient myself so I understand the anxiety that being a patient can bring. I feel that this helps my patients greatly, because I understand what they are feeling and I do my absolute best to make each visit as comfortable as possible.

As a child, I used to go into my dads office and I remember how much he enjoyed his work as a dentist. He loves helping people and I realized that I wanted to do the same thing. I attended undergraduate school at the University of Richmond (Richmond, VA), earning my BS in Biology in 1998. Following graduation, I attended the University of the Pacific for my Doctorate of Dental Surgery, where I also taught for several years.

Continuing education allows me to gain a higher level of skill and understanding about all facets of dentistry. Through my participation in the Spear Study Club and CEREC Doctors, I learn advanced techniques and materials that I bring back to my office and use every day.

Community is important to me, and I try to give back when I can. I help coach water polo at Cardinal Newman High School in Santa Rosa. I also volunteer with Flying Doctors in Guatemala and Bright Island Outreach in the Dominican Republic.

I am very lucky to have a job that I truly love doing. I am fortunate to work with an outstanding team and have my father and brother as great role models and mentors. I look forward to going to work every day and developing new friendships with patients. I am very excited about the future of our practice and the future of dentistry. At Jeffers Family Dentistry, we treat all patients the way we would want to be treated. I have learned so much from our patients and I cherish the great friendships Ive developed with them.

I want to be as up-to-date as possible when it comes to the newest technologies and trends in dentistry. In addition to attending the CDA leadership conference and the Pride Institute of Practice Management, I am also certified in CEREC single-visit crowns and Invisalign clear aligners. I am part of the Spear Faculty Club and have taken numerous seminars and workshops discussing topics ranging from implants to esthetics.

It is also extremely important for me to give back to my community. I have volunteered for Project Homeless Connect in San Francisco, have been on an international dental mission, participated in Remote Area medical, and was involved in Sonoma Countys Give Kids a Smile. I am able to use my leadership skills to help others out while developing new friendships.

Dentistry is about compassion, creativity, and dedication to my patients' health. My primary goal as a dentist is to educate and provide the highest standard of quality and honest dental care to all patients.

I am exceptionally passionate about the cosmetic aspect of dentistry. I am most excited about the intangible rewards of personal satisfaction and fulfillment after orchestrating the progression of transforming someone's oral health to a more improved condition.

I love educating my patients and simplifying the information in a way that aids patients in not becoming overwhelmed with caring for the oral health. I take great pride in my work; nothing brings me greater satisfaction than seeing the exuded change in confidence and joy patients have after reaching their oral health goals.

I am one of those weird people who always liked going to my dentist. I wanted to share with others that going to the dentist doesnt need to be all that bad. I want to provide a comfortable, relaxing, and enjoyable environment, which makes going to the dentist more pleasant than anticipated, and sometimes even fun!

I chose to pursue dentistry because I wanted to be able to help transform people's lives and contribute to my community by making them healthier places. I completed my BA at the University of Colorado at Boulder and continued on to Barry University for my Master of Science degree. I then attended Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC for my Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

Through my continuing education in Spear Dentistry Education and Study Club, and the International Team for Implantology, I stay up to date with the latest techniques and technology in dentistry, reinforce my skills in a wide variety of treatments, and enhance my diagnostic and clinical abilities in caring for my patients.

When I am not working, you will find me going for a run, attending sporting events, exploring new restaurants, trying new cuisines, and visiting local farmers markets. One of my favorite places to go during the summer is wake surfing and wakeboarding out on the lake. I also enjoy baking and have my own chocolate chip cookie recipe. I really enjoy traveling, so I am always looking for a new destination to visit. Hawaii is one my favorite places to visit. Other hobbies of mine include playing softball, training for triathlons, scuba diving, and golfing.

Being active in my community is very important to me because it affords me the opportunity to give back to the people who really need care and don't have access to it. Anything I can do to help improve someones life or situation is invaluable to me. The patients are so appreciative of any care they are given and I am extremely happy to be able to help. As Albert Einstein said, It is every person's obligation to put back into the world at least the equivalent of what we take out of it.
