I am a graduate of the University of California at Davis with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry. After completing my undergraduate education, I studied dentistry at the University of Pacific Dental School. I chose dentistry as a profession as Ive always enjoyed spending time with other people, and working with my hands. I graduated from dental school in 1991 as a member of both Tau Kappa Omega (UOP Dental Schools honor Society) and Omicron Kappa Upsilon ( a national dental honor society).

I took over this practice from a wonderful retiring dentist in 2000. There are still four terrific staff members here who worked in the practice for several years before I took over. I have hired three other staff members since that time and all of them have been here over ten years now. I am extremely fortunate to be able to work with the patient and staff families that I do.

When not at the office, I mostly enjoy spending time with the wonderful family I have. My children, Molly, Jack, and Claire keep me very happy with lots of love. I also thoroughly enjoy snow skiing, water skiing, bike riding, and just spending time outdoors in general.

I have worked in this office since 1973. I graduated from College of Alameda in 1973 with a RDA. I received my certificate in expanded functions in 1984. I returned to Dental School in 1985 to study Dental Hygiene. I graduated from Diablo Valley College in 1987 with an RDH, AA degree. I have worked with Dr. Dowd since he bought this practice in 2000. I am a member of the Mt. Diablo Dental Hygiene Association.

A member of Clayton Community Church where I serve with the Leadership team & Missions Dept. I enjoy working here and abroad with people in need. I am an avid equestrian, love camping and backpacking. My favorite pastime is spending time with my Kids and Grandson.

I have worked at Dr. Dowds office for 10 years as a registered Dental Assistant for a total of 22 years. I started pre-nursing classes at City College of San Francisco and finished at National Education Center in San Francisco Dental Assisting Program. I am a member of American Association of Dental Assistants.

My interests are family functions and my Kids sports programs. When I am not on the field or court, watching movies, gardening or reading a good book are a few things I enjoy. Listening to patients concerns, helping them overcome any fears and bringing smiles to peoples faces are my goals while working.

I've worked with Dr. Dowd since he took over the office in 2000, and at this office since 1991. I have been a dental assistant since 1988. My undergraduate studies were completed at Centro Escolar University College of Dentistry, and University of the East - both in Manila, Philippines. I am a member of the National Association of Dental Assistants.

I grew up in Southern Illinois and I am a 'coal miner 's daughter'. I graduated from St. Louis University (Biology, Chemistry, and Education) and the Dibalo Valley College Dental Hygiene Program. In addition, I attended post graduate study at Kansas State University. I am a member of ADHA, CDHA, and MDDHS, our professional organizations. I have been a member of this dental practice setting since 1982 and have thoroughly enjoyed helping our patients understand, improve and maintain their dental health. In my leisure time, I enjoy travel, baseball, reading and many activities with my family and friends.

I have been working with Dr. Dowd for 10 1/2 years now. I graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management. I have been working in the dental field since I graduated high school in 1983. I originally went to Dental Assisting school right after high school and worked as an assistant for years before deciding to go back to school for management. When I am not working I enjoy watching my two daughters play softball, coaching their teams, and playing softball myself. I also enjoy playing keyboard, singing, reading and I am very involved with my church. I really enjoy working with our patients and getting to know so many of them on a personal level as well.
