Bad breath (Halitosis) is caused by poor oral hygiene and oral health. Regular dental cleanings, every six months, adequate brushing, and flossing help eliminate that mouth odor. If the bad breath is not dental related, it could be caused by sinus issues, stomach issues, combinations of certain foods and certain medication, or other systemic issues.

We recommend brushing and flossing twice a day; once in the morning and once at night. This kind of routine helps decrease plaque buildup. Especially during sleeping hours. This also can reduce the likelihood of gum disease and tooth decay. Its also best to have a professional dental cleaning done every six months.

When the teeth whitening process is conducted by trained dental experts using professional teeth whitening products, it is not harmful to the teeth or gums. Sensitivity after the whitening process can be treated with desensitizing gels.

Both crowns and caps are restorations made to repair a broken tooth by removing old fillings, repairing a fractured tooth structure, and eliminating decay. Experts call these kinds of restorations crowns. However, patients will often refer to tooth-colored restorations (porcelain and composites) as caps, and refer to the gold or stainless steel restorations as crowns.

No! When you visit our office, wed love to discuss and determine the best solution that will improve your overall dental health in the long term. Your smile makeover could include crowns, teeth whitening, gingival sculpting, composite bonding, inlays and onlays, or any other combination established by our experts.
