Dr. Kevin Schmidtke was born in Iola, Wisconsin and moved to Tucson during high school. Dr. Schmidtke earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Arizonawhile playing football for the Wildcats. After graduating from The Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine Dr. Schmidtke worked as an associate dentist in the Boston area before returning to Tucson in 2004 to open his own practice. Dr. Schmidtke enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and watching college football and basketball.
Dr. Schmidtke is a member of the American Dental Association and the Arizona Dental Association. Dr. Schmidtke frequently attends courses and conferences to continue his dental education and stay up to date on the latest technology.

I've been a patient here for the better part of a decade. I made the horrible mistake of waiting seven years between cleanings. Super dumb on my part, I know. Rather than facing my shame and failure I tried to hide my stupidity by seeing another dentist. That was my second horrible mistake. Anyway, after some repentance and grovelling I did the drive of shame back to Dr. Schmidtke. My first cleaning after seven years of neglect was not pleasant; not for me, or the intrepid hygienist, Kristin (who is fabulous by the way). But after some tears, laughter, and a light admonishing we made it through that ordeal. This is why I love this office: 1. The staff are friendly and seem happy. This is evidence to me that Dr. Schmidtke treats his employees well. We don't want disgruntled people working on our teeth, now do we? 2. Appointments are prompt! I've never waited more than five minutes in the waiting room and the receptionist, Stephanie, is patient with questions and very kind. 3. Dr. Schmidtke and his staff know what they are doing! They are professional, efficient, and it's actually pleasant going to that office. I go every six months for cleanings now and it is definitely not the torture that the phrase "going to the dentist" implies. I would recommend this dentist to anyone.

Dr. Schmidtke, his staff, the facility, and especially the professional and fun environment that they create makes this practice 5 Stars in every aspect. I've had a fair sampling of dentists over my 70 years of life and Dr. S is the absolute most expert, kindest, and best. Nuff said.

Absolutely one of the best dental offices in Tucson. I was able to get a last min emergency appointment and they were able to repair my tooth that day. Dr Schmidtke is very personable and the staff were amazing. I would highly recommend this practice.

I'm honestly surprised I haven't reviewed this place. I've been coming here on and off for about seven years. I changed jobs so they no longer took my insurance. But I came back. You can't beat the friendly office and professional atmosphere. First off, the front desk is super accommodating and super friendly. They do at least a 48 hour check in to make sure you were going to make your appointment via email and you can either call their office to confirm the appointment or just reply back via email which is super considerate considering those who work in the healthcare industry like myself. Stephanie is amazing and I believe she is the office manager. I needed a night guard and they got the mold and everything done within a week and with my insurance it was really cheap and the appliance was super cool. Came in a nice case with the mold just in case my dog decides to eat my night guard again. I got my teeth professionally cleaned and what can I say it is super quick and efficient and the staff is super friendly and have all been there for at least 5 to 10 years. The provider is super awesome and super friendly and very knowledgeable I would highly recommend this place I'm not sure why there is not more five stars on this business. I've gone to other places and they don't have that friendly personalized attitude like this dentist office has especially me who is a "" diva when it comes to dentists and dreading the dental office.

Very professional, AMAZING service at this office! They truly value their clients and make you feel at ease throughout the whole process. I am terrified of the dentist and the whole team made me feel comfortable and at ease. Dr schmidtke was actively doing his best, even at his last appointment of the day to give me the best care and i trulyappreciated it. I would recommend them to anyone I know!
