I'm going to miss visiting Dr Ko as I move out of state (yes, I'm going to miss going to a good dentist). The entire staff is friendly, professional, and reliable.

Today was my first visit after switching from my former dentist of almost 10 years. Due to COVID, I needed a dentist closer to home, as I'm now working from home full time. In addition, my previous dentist left the dental network I belong to, so I can't see him without paying extra. All I can say is...WOW! Awesome experience. It started with the super friendly staff. I don't mean fake friendly, I mean genuinely friendly and helpful. I generally judge a practice by how happy the staff are, and these folks appear to be very content. I ran late and they were so accommodating...didn't faze them one iota! And who wouldn't be happy to work there? The office is gorgeous with an open floor plan but lots of privacy for each chair/station. Natural sunlight streams in and the color scheme is reminiscent of the beach...weathered driftwood kind of vibe...lots of "clean white." The office equipment is state of the art too. All new and everything sparkling clean...everything: the sink, the chair you sit in, the counter tops, the monitor where you view your dental records, the walls, the floor...everything. I get nervous at the dentist and have for years. This is the first dentist to offer me all of this: headphones, sunglasses (to shield me from the ultra bright examination light) and a quick-acting, quick dissipating topical numbing solution. After I put on the shades, (just some generic wrap around plastic ones) I happened to mention that my eyelashes were hitting the inside of the sunglasses and getting stuck. The hygienist immediately placed a piece of soft rolled cotton on the bridge of my nose and voila- the glasses were made more usable and comfortable. My anxiety was immediately reduced. Still there a little bit, but much more manageable for me. The dark sunglasses were very calming, actually. Wish I had been offered these in the past. I requested my favorite musician to pipe through my headphones, and I was ready to take this cleaning on. Only suggestion- provide headphones that are a bit more adjustable in size...mine were slipping down a little. The office can also remind me to bring music and ear buds of my own next time. Dr. Ko came in to examine my teeth and began by saying, "Welcome to the practice." His manner is warm and friendly and he asks lots of questions about what I want, what I'd like now or in future, in order to provide the most relevant advice/info. He then provided me relevant, easy to understand information based on my responses. He didn't try and "upsell" any procedures or materials. Or recommend a bunch of treatments. He simply recommended the exact same thing my prior dentist did, at my last visit. Both recommendations were prophylactic in nature, geared towards preventing further recession of my gums and damage from teeth grinding. On my way out, the staff said they would submit a detailed pre-authorization with all the appropriate dental claim codes for the recommended procedures. This way the plan could tell them exactly what's covered under my benefits, so I don't have an unexpected surprise out of pocket cost if I have this work done. Many offices only look up your benefits online and then "estimate" what your costs are. But if they're not detailed or forget something, you end up with surprise costs. So, kudos to them for their professionalism and transparency. When I left, the entire front desk staff said, "Welcome to the practice! See you next time." From start to finish, this was a great experience with a most professional dentist and his excellent staff. The picture is of my "swag bag". How cute is this? Love the thoughtful presentation!

A truly amazing dentist with an amazing office and staff. Dr. Ko cares about his patients and has a personal relationship with all of them, we felt like they were family. Always received the best treatment and almost felt pampered when going for our cleanings. Not to mention that one day, I had to wait 5 minutes past my appointment time and the office manager kept apologizing for my wait and insisted on offering two movie theater tickets! Who does that nowadays?!? I was always impressed by them all. We recently moved from the Bay Area, but we will surely miss them so much! Go for a visit, I guarantee you won't regret it!

A friend referred me to Dr. Ko about 2 years ago and I loved my first visit, the staff is friendly and professional, and the teeth cleanings are painless. I had delta dental first and unfortunately had to switch insurance to MetLife, which was out of network and I really didn't want to stop going since it's hard to find a good dentist. The two ladies at the front desk were awesome though and helped me understand dental insurance a lot better, and as it turns out I'm still 100% covered for 2 preventative visits a year like I was before with delta, even though they're out of network, and am mostly covered for everything else. I also recently had chipped my tooth, so when I went in to get my teeth cleaned, Dr Ko explained what needed to be done if I wanted it repaired. We set up the follow up appointment, and it was great, it took about 15 minutes, painless with no anesthesia and my tooth looks as great as new! Thanks guys!
