Dr. Cattaneo has been practicing dentistry in Prairie Village, Kansas, since 1999. After earning dual degrees in biology and Spanish from the University of Kansas, he attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. He enjoys practicing where he grew up and enjoys providing care to people who have known him or his family for many years.
Dr. Cattaneo grew up in a family of healthcare professionals. His father, Dr. Ernest A Cattaneo, practiced internal medicine for over 40 years but is now retired. At one point both of them practiced in the same office building in Prairie Village. Dr. Cattaneo always wants to provide the best and most appropriate dental care to all of his patients.
In terms of continuing education, Dr. Cattanneo is very selective. He attends what he feels to be the best courses or topics to expand his knowledge. He enjoys the lectures provided by the American Academy of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Academy of Osseointergration. These are some of the best organizations to study under when it comes to implant dentistry.
Dr. Cattaneo also enjoys helping patients that are referred to him with headaches/migraines and TMJ pain/dysfunction. Patients are amazed what they learn about trigger point therapy and bite appliance therapy.
When not at the office, Dr. Cattaneo enjoys being with his family and friends. Spending time outdoors is also important to him. No matter what the weather holds, Dr. Cattaneo can be found hiking in the cold, camping in the heat, or fishing with his kids.
Kim loves building long-term relationships with our patients, and she loves working with Dr. Cattaneo. He is so passionate about what he does and extremely patient. He makes working fun. Kim is married to her husband Fred, and together they have five grown children and four adorable granddaughters. She enjoys spending time with her family and discovering what Kansas City has to offer. Her interests include gardening and browsing art museums and funky stores.
As one of our hygienists, Stacy assesses and diagnoses oral health problems, addresses chief complaints, and, most importantly, educates patients on proper oral care. She loves working with such a wide variety of patients, from toddlers to seniors, and is passionate about helping and educating the community in our comfortable, upbeat office. Stacy was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She relocated to Kansas City with her fianc after college. Together, they enjoy spending time riding bikes, camping, and being in the water. When they arent outside, you can find them in the kitchen cooking up a home-cooked meal before relaxing on the couch with a good movie.
As our office manager, Cris is committed to providing you with a comfortable visit to our office. She will welcome you when you first come in, and she will happy to help you with any account or insurance issues, in addition to answering questions about your oral care. She knows many of our patients very well, and Dr. Cattaneo and his team make coming to work fun. She has more than 36 years of experience and regularly attends continuing education courses to keep up with changes in dentistry. Cris is married and has three grown children, four grandchildren, and two dogs. She enjoys watching the Royals and the Chiefs play, and loves going to see a good movie, as well as sitting back and relaxing with a good book.
Kelly is the newest member to our team. She grew up in Overland Park and has now made her home in Olathe. She has been a dental assistant for two years and loves being able to help others achieve a beautiful smile. When Kelly is not at work, she loves spending time with friends and her two dogs.

I have been taking my kids to this practice for more then 13 years they love the doctor and all the ladies.how cleans are amazing, but this new secretary is the worse in this place she is rude always, in person and in the phone even worse I am so mad of this because every body else is nice but SONDRA unfortunately she is making me to move my 3 kids from this practice.

This is The worst experience we ever had, issues with billing, very suspicious line items on bills, no call returns at all, misleading instructions from office . We are not even sure how to express how unsatisfying our experience was with this place.

My wife went to this Dentist in Feb 2019 with a tooth pain and was diagnosed needing a crown.As long time patient, asked for predetermination of benefits was told it would approx. $500 after insurance. Went back in May 20019 for a fitting of a temporary crown, very painful procedure. Asked again about payment and total bill when that done. They said they still did not have the information on benefits. Received a bill in the mail for $1000. Left several messages to schedule without return phone calls for over 2 months. Went in yesterday and tried to schedule in person and again found the receptionist to be confrontational about the benefits , but scheduled the crown for Thursday. We received a call this morning stating that the my wife now needs to see a specialist over nerve pain, never that she had nerve pain. Then she called my wife backed and stated " I am done " and she hung up. Receptionist is allowed to run the practice. Contacting Board of Healing Arts. Never been treated so unprofessionally in my entire life. Dentist has not spoken to me since temporary crown installed. Thank you.
