While attending Ohio State, Dr. McMillen was recognized by The Academy of Dental Materials for excellence in scholarship. He was also recognized by the OSU Dental Alumni Society for his research contributions which were published in the Journal of Restorative Dentistry.
Dr. McMillen served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Public Health Service from 1996 through 1998. He is currently a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the Pittsburgh East Suburban Study Club and the Seattle Study Club. Pittsburgh Magazine has recognized Dr. McMillen in its selection of Top Dentists from 2007-2022.
Originally from Hinckley, Ohio, Dr. McMillen lives in Murrysville with his wife, Katie, a pediatric dentist, and two children, Patrick and Paige. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoys skiing, mountain biking, backpacking and cooking.
Patty Keaton received her RDH from the University of Pittsburgh in 1988. She also has an MA in Adult and Community Education and a B.S. in German Secondary Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is a life long resident of the Penn Hills area and spends her free time enjoying photography, sewing and gardening.
Kristen has been been a dental assistant since 2006 . She is married and has two wonderful children and a dog . While not working she enjoys spending time with her family, baking, gardening, and going for walks.
Jennifer has one adult son and had the joy of becoming a Grandmother for the first time in 2021. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with friends & her significant other on two wheels. Their adventures have taken them all over the eastern United States, Canada and Arizona. In addition to Iron Horses, she has a love for all things Equine and Canine.
We perform routine dental services such as dental exams, dental X-rays, dental cleanings, filling cavities, teeth whitening, and minor dental surgery as well as more advanced procedures such as dental implants, crowns, and other cosmetic and restorative procedures.

I am from out of town and my daughter called around trying to find a dentist for me as I was having some tooth issues. They were able to get me in within two days. They were all very cordial and friendly. Dr McMiilen was able to pull my soothing right away. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist. They processed my insurance paperwork for me as well.

Everyone at Dr. McMillen's office is the best! Patty, Kristen and Jennifer take excellent care of you. They are professional, informative, kind and friendly. Going to the dentist is an enjoyable experience. Patty, the Dental Hygienist, is the absolute best! She is the highlight of the visit! Your teeth will feel so clean when you leave! I only had one dentist my whole life until he retired. I am so pleased Dr. McMillen and his Team were recommended to me by my previous dentist! Thank you, Dr. McMillen for the excellent dental care!

The entire office is incredible! My 4 year old daughter had to have 2 little cavities filled today. We were both a little nervous, but Dr. McMillen and Kristen were both fantastic. They worked quickly and made my daughter feel safe and even made her laugh during the process. There were no tears and she left happy and most importantly not afraid to go back.Thank you Dr. McMillen and Kristen!

Very friendly staff; scheduler/receptionist was not only extremely kind, but also very knowledgeable. She was also able to get me in same day. Dental hygienist and dentist were both very kind, personable, and efficient. Highly recommend!

I've been to great and terrible dentist. Kevin McMillen is fantastic! He is personable, professional and knowledgeable. His staff members are the same- kind, helpful and professional. They all take their time, explain things well and give you multiple opportunities to ask questions. I had work done the same day as my cleaning and am happy with the results. I would highly recommend this office for your needs.

Had a great experience with Dr. McMillen and his assistant Kristen today. I chipped my molar and they were able to effectively and efficiently repair it in one short visit. Friendly staff and clean, inviting office. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area!

Always on time, professional, takes time to explain the procedure .Explains the technical and price options available. Has an assistant constantly working with him-this reduces the time you are in the chair. Finally offers cash/check discount.

Having your long-time dentist retire can be an unfortunate event in anyone's life, but in my case it turned out to be a very fortunate event. Although I was pleased with my old dentist, I now receive much better care and attention from Dr. McMillen, Patty and Kristen! They're the best in my humble opinion!
