Oral healthcare is more than just working on a persons teeth and jaws, its about developing relationships and changing lives, one person at a time. Whether I am helping to get a person out of pain, restoring their oral health, or developing a beautiful smile for them, I am improving their health and increasing their happiness. Being of service to the individuals of our community, and offering sometimes life-transforming care, is incredibly fulfilling.
Each day I come to the practice knowing I will be meeting intriguing new patients and starting to build relationships with them, as well as catching-up on whats been happening in the lives of my established patients. These relationships and these exchanges, what we share and learn from is each other, make the day fascinating. I cannot imagine another profession that would allow me to meet and care for so many amazing people, and am thankful that dentistry and orthodontics afford me that opportunity.
I hold a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS), as well as a Master of Science in Orthodontics, from the University of Detroit. My educational background provided me with a strong foundational knowledge of oral healthcare, but oral healthcare is a field where there are constant developments in treatment methodologies, technologies, and materials.
It is essential for me to stay abreast of these changes, so I am able to provide my patients with leading-edge, proven care. Therefore, I pursue continuing education offerings throughout the year. I attend meetings, conferences, and lectures at the local, state, and national levels, including through the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists, constantly learning and seeking out new information to improve my patients treatment experience and results.
I established K Street Dental & Orthodontic Group in 1995, envisioning a complete dental and orthodontic treatment center, where we would deliver the highest level of care to each patient, focusing on personal treatment plans and approaches that are right for the individual. That vision has become a reality.
At both practice locations, our treatment philosophy remains the same: the comfort and emotional well-being of you, our patient, is at the forefront of everything we do. Dr. Holly Griffin is a 2002 graduate of the University of Michigan.She has been practicing general and cosmetic dentistry at Kentlands Dental and Orthodontic Group since 2003. Dr. Griffin is a member of several dental organizations (including the ADA, AGD, MSDA, and SMDA) and passionately pursues continuing education courses to stay up-to-date with present and future developments in dentistry.

Patient for over 3 years. Brought my wife here but she left when Dr. Griffiths left. She was smart. I have been cycled though three dentists in one year. If you read reviews, understand that the entire front office is new and Dr. Yasmin is gone. A contract dentist (what else do you call a random dentist that is brought in to do the work of one who left?) recommended a crown. So I got one. She sawed away without explaining that this may cause nerve issues. Then another densit came to finish it and actually explained the nerve issue. Would I have done it knowing what I now do? No. Now I need a root canal and they don't do this so I just wasted time and money today having a dentist state the obvious. Worse, I switched insurance to get Invisalign last open season. I was about 8 months in when new aligners were required due to the crown. Then somehow I was on 1 of 30 when I was on 16 of 33. Numerous other issues that were so ridiculous that after I was furious, I had to laugh. Impossible to adhere buttons for rubber bands? Strange since I had braces as a kid. Then the new aligners have built in hooks for rubber bands. Too bad it is physically impossible to use them. So now I am stuck for who knows how long due to the inability to wear rubber bands. Don't tell me that they aren't necessary and to see how the teeth will move anyway on this video. You know, the video that assumes you are wearing the rubber bands. Now I am going to spend countless hours and more money to find dental coverage in open season that will accept ongoing orthodontic work just so I can switch. All this after a $2000 deposit for Invisalign. If I can't make the orthodontic switch, I will be finding a new dentist regardless. Give me all my aligners and I'll see you next year to take off these attachments knowing that I just wasted a year and a half and thousands of dollars for moderate improvement.

I Highly recommend this to all my relatives and friends. All the crew are very nice & so kind. My family members goes there. The Staff is so polite effective and efficient. I was refered by a friend to Kentlands Dental. I met Liesl and Dr. Yasmin and they were amazing. They were super professional and empathetic. Liesl even went on to explain all of my next step! Im SUPER happy with my results and with all the routine services. 100% recommend them to all my friends and family. Great job

This place is great, I've been going for years and so have other family members. Very welcoming and pleasant staff. Been going to them since I was about 12 and I'm 34 now. Satisfied from the results of my braces , 4 teeth removed for my overbite, cleanings.

I have to say that I haven't met a patient, kind, and all around comfortable dentist like Dr. Yasmin. She is attentive and listens to my concerns. I go to my regular check-ups and cleanings. During cleanings, she always makes sure I am doing okay. I always feel like I am in good hands. She has also given me really great brushing tips that I never realized nor knew about that has made a true difference for me. She is truly worth going to!

I was literally the 1st patient at this location when it opened over 20 years ago. Dr. Shouhayid is awesome & Liesl's been my favorite ever since she snipped my wire in what was then the new location, I've been with KDOG ever since. From braces, to cleanings, fillings to crowns they've helped me through them all. I highly recommend them as your family dentist too!

I've been a patient for almost 6 years now. Staff is incredibly polite and efficient. I was always nervous about coming to the Dentist but Kentlands Dental makes my routine visits super enjoyable. Liesl and Dr. Yasmin are excellent, the patient care is superb! Lizanet and Lis at the front desk are also very helpful. I missed Dr. Griffin at the last visit, Im glad the current team is awesome! I had Invisalign with Dr. Shouhayib a couple of years ago and he is so charming and welcoming. I've been coming to Kentlands Dental and Orthodontic group for the past 4 years with my family and have been very happy with our experience. Although I'm sad that Dr Griffin is no longer practicing, I just had my first visit Dr. Yasmin and she is very very kind and knowledgeable. I will trust her with my family's dental health just the same! One mainstay that I'd also like to call out is Liesl, the lead assistant - she rocks, hands down!! She's very clear at explaining things to me, gentle, and very soothing. I had a scary dental issue serval years ago and she made me feel very comfortable and relieved I chose them for help!
