Dr. Ochiai has practiced exclusively in the specialty of Prosthodontics for over twenty years at this practice located in Santa Ana, California. He obtained his doctoral dental degree (1987) and advanced specialty certification in Prosthodontics (1989) at the University of Southern California. He then went on to be certified in Maxillofacial Prosthetics at UCLA Medical Center in 1995. He has held simultaneous teaching positions at both the USC and UCLA Schools of Dentistry in the fields of Prosthodontics, and Restorative Dentistry. Presently Dr. Ochiai is a Clincial Associate Professor of Restorative Dentistry at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC. He has published and authored several papers on his research work on new concepts on restorations in dentistry, dental implants, advanced denture treatment and prosthodontics. He has lectured presented his work both internationally and nationally on these dental specialty subjects. He has earned and was granted a PhD in Prosthodontics based upon his research work by the Kanagawa Dental College in Yokosuka, Japan in 2010. He is dedicated to the advancement of quality treatment in Dentistry and Prosthodontics.

Maintains a private practice in Prosthodontics and Maxillofacial Prosthetics since 1989 in Santa Ana, California. Clinical teaching faculty at USC School of Dentistry since 1987. Clinical teaching faculty at UCLA School of Dentistry from 1995-2007. Presently teaching in Restorative Dentistry and Fixed Prosthodontics at USC School of Dentistry.

Research interests include Biomimetics, Dental materials research, Dental implant restorative design and applications, and Maxillofacial Prosthetic treatment and technique. Dr. Alexander C.Gavrila Graduated from the USC School of Dentistry in 2007 and then completed a 3-year residency in Advanced Prosthodontics at the University of California Los Angeles. Prosthodontics is a specialty in dentistry that is involved in diagnosing and treating the most complex reconstructive and restorative cases. Dr. Gavrila has been involved in the field of dentistry since 1995 and he brings his experience,enthusiasm, and passion for dentistry to our practice.Dr. Gavrila provides friendly and personable service toall of his patients and canhelp you achieve all of your dental goalsfrom the most simple to the most complex.
