I recently moved to the area from Maine and I am so happy to have found Dr. Susan Ho and her office of caring dental professionals. For years, I have dreaded sitting in a dentist's chair and undergoing dental procedures. Yet, due to Dr. Ho's caring and expertise, visiting her spotless, cheerful office and having my teeth repaired is more akin to visiting a concerned friend. Dr. Ho constantly takes the time to explain thoroughly all the procedures she performs and continuously checks to ensure my comfort. She expertly tends to my teeth and offers recommendations for their ongoing care and maintenance. As a testament to Dr. Ho's skill and experience, I have agreed to become an Invisalign patient at the mature age of 71! Because of her, my teeth are well on their way to being in the BEST condition and appearance EVER. I am enthusiastic in my respect for Dr. Ho and urge anyone who is concerned about good dental health to visit her office soon. Because of her caring nature and extensive dental experience, she is probably the best dentist I have ever known. I recommend that you schedule a visit with this wonderful dentist to see what she can do for you and your teeth.

Jason is exceptional! A great help and provided a warm and welcoming environment for me. The hygienist Marcus was also very welcoming and nice. Made my experience very pleasant as I do not like going to the dentist!

I scheduled an appointment for April 1st on the phone as a new patient on March 11th. The woman on the phone that made the appointment for me told me they accepted my dental insurance and would email me new patient forms ahead of time. First issue: I did not receive new patient forms before the appointment. I arrive on time for a 10am appointment and am asked to fill out new patient forms. This takes time. I also ask again to confirm that my insurance is accepted. Second issue: The woman at reception tells me they will bill my insurance but I have to pay upfront. I would only receive a check reimbursement in the mail. I've never experienced this at a dental practice for a routine exam/cleaning. I ask how much do I have to pay upfront. I am told $320. I respond that this was not explained to me when I made the appointment on the phone. The woman at reception responds in a condescending tone, "If you would have asked, then we would have told you." I asked them to confirm what my responsibility would be after insurance. The woman at the front desk seemed annoyed at my request. She wanted to say something else back to me, but stops herself and sighs. I sit for another few minutes before a dental hygienist asked me to come back to start the appointment. I ask the woman at the front desk if she is able to tell me how much it will cost after insurance. She is on her cell phone and does not seem to register that I am speaking to her. The dental hygienist gets her attention. I repeat my question. She does not answer it. Instead she replies, "Since you were not prepared to pay for the appointment today, I can offer you the new patient special which is $99." Third issue: I can only assume she did not check my insurance. And she also upsold me from the start. At this point, since I am already there, I am preparing myself to pay $99 for a dental cleaning with the hope there are no snafus in getting reimbursement from insurance, but then I check the time. It's already 1030, I have budgeted an hour of my day for this. I tell the front desk woman, and she balks at me: "Did you think this appointment would be less than an hour and a half?" The tone of her voice is condescending again. I finally tell her that I have to go. And that I hope in the future their office does a better job of getting new patient paperwork ahead time, informing new patients of ability to work with insurance, and being more transparent about the upfront costs. I was able to make an appointment with another Kensington dentist this am that ran my insurance while I was on the phone with her. She was very pleasant to work with and confirmed I'd have zero upfront costs for a routine exam/cleaning.

This was my first time visiting Dr. Susan Ho's office and I had a great experience! I found her office on google and saw the amazing reviews! The office was very clean and the staff were all very nice!! I will definitely be returning!
