Dr. Moore and his staff are wonderful! I continue to drive from the east bay to San Mateo for my visits and no longer work on the Peninsula.

I've been a patient of dr Moore for the last couple of years. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional, with attention to details, always listens and explains, really cares about providing the best care & treatment outcome. He successfully navigated me with patience through a set of very complex procedures and I am sincerely grateful to him and to his entire team (Bernadette, Rachelle, Katrina, Emilee, Khalid) for all their efforts and ongoing support. Sorry to have to be the outlier here, but if my review helps prevent a problem for another patient, then it'll have been worth my time. In short, I had a filling for moderate-size cavity (nothing complicated) done in late September (2021). Afterwards and in the weeks following, I experienced severe pain at the filling site along with extreme levels of hot/cold sensitivity (never had anything like this with prior dentist). Made appointment to have it checked by Dr. Moore, who discovered on X-ray that portion of filling was poking into my gum-muscle, due to a "hook-like" shape (could easily see on Xray) and needed filing down. My pain improved somewhat after that being filed down, but still had to return a few weeks later for about 50-60% residual pain. Area was examined and only suggestion was, if I wanted, to have that filling pulled out and completely redone. At that point, that choice seemed too risky. A few weeks later I called office to discuss the situation, spoke with dentist, thought perhaps an offer to cancel charges ( am a cash-patient) would be extended, that was not done. Living with about 5-10% residual pain from this. Disappointing and unnecessary experience. Naturally, have changed dentists. P.S. Wish to emphasize that everyone in office, including front staff and dental-hygienists plus assistants are all helpful, professional and friendly. Dr. Moore is very friendly also, this is not a "personality" issue. I had no issues with teeth cleanings done by several different hygienists.
