Leading our team is Dr. Ken Murphy, who graduated from Emory College and then received his dental degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Once he finished dental school, he entered a Post-Graduate General Practice Residency at the Emory University School of Post-Graduate Dentistry, where he learned to treat a variety of complex cases, both in a hospital setting for patients with medical complications and a traditional private office.
Ever since the sixth grade, Dr. Murphy knew he wanted to be a dentist. That was when he did a term paper on careers, and after researching dentistry and later visiting the dental school at Emory, he decided the field of dentistry was for him. Dr. Murphy opened his practice in Atlanta in 1991, and in the year 2000, he moved to a larger facility in the Medical Quarters Building to better serve his patients.
He is a firm believer in continuing his education and is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, and the Northern District Dental Society. Dr. Murphy has been collecting dental figurines for over 20 years. It is an impressive collection of about 200 pieces! Most are displayed in our reception area and conference room for our patients to enjoy. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Murphy is an avid dog lover. He has four Boston Terriers, Koby , Piper, Phoebe and Little Boo. He reads about a book a week and is addicted to his iPad.

Diane is a friendly and courteous member of our team. She makes you feel welcome before you have ever met her in person because chances are you will speak with her on the phone first before visiting our office. Diane does it all, from the scheduling, financial arrangements and ensuring the prompt care of the unforeseen emergency. For patients with a tight budget, Diane can help them with outside financing. She fields all insurance calls and is excellent at helping patients understand how their insurance benefits work and how to maximize their insurance.
Lisa is a registered dental hygienist. She completed her training at Georgia Perimeter College in Dunwoody, and she brings almost 20 years of experience in the healthcare field to our team . She loves her job because it gives her the opportunity to help others live a healthy and happy life.
In her spare time she likes to spend time with her husband, Chris, and her two boys, Liam and Olson, as well as traveling, scuba diving, camping, hiking and running. She recently completed her very first marathon, the Marine Corps Marathon. We are very fortunate to have her as a member of our dental family and cant wait for you to meet her in person.

Amanda is the 3rd generation of her family to choose the dental profession! Her primary goal is to ensure that each of her patients is as comfortable as possible. When not working, she likes to be outside, traveling and spending time with her family.

I have to take a moment and rave about Dr. Cara. Finding a talented, compassionate, and honest dentist is hard. Dr. Cara is a gem! Always so thorough and explains "dental talk" to where I understand it all while making me feel comfortable. She is great!

I truly enjoyed my dental visit with Dr. Cara. She made me feel very comfortable and addressed all of my concerns. I love how you get to meet her privately before your dental appointment begins. Everyone is super friendly from the moment you check in until you're walking out. I'm looking forward to my next app!

As a patient of Dr. Murphy's for over 15 years I can truly say that he is the best. By best I mean not only is he an expert at his craft, but he makes the visit pain-free and actually kind of fun. I don't even mind getting local anesthetic because he is so gentle that you barely feel it (and he gives it time to take effect so you know that you won't feel a thing.) Dr. Murphy has a great sense of humor and a wonderful personality that makes you feel so at ease and comfortable. He is patient, spends time listening and answering questions and I have been happy with all the crowns and procedures he has done over the many years. He is very knowledgeable about the latest treatments and has the newest technology available. The office is clean, welcoming and run smoothly and efficiently by Diane. She is very friendly and extremely accommodating when scheduling appointments. She takes care of all aspects of finance and insurance and files claims immediately. She is wonderful when there is any kind of emergency and even checks messages during her vacation! The staff is so nice and the hygienist and dental assistant are also both excellent. If I ever move out of Georgia, I will fly back to this office for any dental work needed...this office might be one of the main reasons I eventually retire in Georgia!

If you want perfection for your teeth make an appointment with Dr. Murphy. No matter what you need done your mouth will feel better and look better than when you walked in the office. Dr. Murphy uses state of the art tools to ensure that your results are state of the art. He has been my dentist for over 30 years except for the 10 years I lived in Seattle. When I got back to Atlanta he was the first call I made.

I have been a patient of Dr. Murphy since I moved to GA 20 years ago. He and his staff have always done excellent work without any problems or issues. It may seem small to most people but I like when I call Diane recognizes who I am over the phone.like I said something small but means a great deal. He and his staff have my recommendation.
