Dr. Patrick Kennedy received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, then went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center at Memphis.
His late wife, Kelly Ballard, was a Powell, TN native and convinced him to choose the North Knoxville area for his practice due to its wonderful people, beauty, and proximity to their families. He started Kennedy Dentistry in August 2005 and has been bringing quality service to the North Knoxville area ever since.
He has since remarried. He and his beautiful wife, Sara, are raising two wonderful daughters, Taylor and Charlotte. He enjoys spending time with his family, especially outdoors. Their favorite activities include hiking, swimming, and mountain biking.
Dr. Trent Stansbury joined Kennedy Dentistry in March 2015. While he claims Johnson City, TN as home, he had the unique privilege of living all over the world in his youth. His father, a retired Army aviator who flew the UH-60 Black Hawk and UH-1 Huey helicopters, was stationed overseas in Heidelberg, Germany and Singapore, Singapore during his childhood. These experiences gave him a lot of insight into different cultures, ideals, and experiences. After his fathers retirement from the Army in 1995, his family retired to Johnson City, where Dr. Stansbury attended Science Hill High School and graduated as salutatorian.
He then attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville to obtain his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry and cellular and molecular biology, graduating summa cum laude. He obtained his DDS from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, after which he participated in a general dentistry residency program at UT Medical Center. During the residency, he furthered his clinical skills in dentistry while receiving advanced training in dental implants, implant restoration, rehabilitation of complex cases, and treatment of compromised individuals in an OR setting.
After his residency, Dr. Stansbury worked for six years in a Kingston general dentistry practice with a focus on both adult and pediatric dental care. He is comfortable with and enjoys working on children of all ages. Each year he commits countless hours expanding his dental knowledge through continuing education courses across the country.
In his free time, he enjoys almost anything outdoors, especially hiking, snow skiing, and water skiing. He married his high school prom date, Tabitha. They are raising two beautiful children, Taylor and Trevor.
Dr. Nickita Zaveri, a Knoxville native and lifelong Vols fan, has been helping patients improve their oral health since 2015. Dr. Z enjoys coming to work each day for many reasons, but her favorite part of the job is working with our awesome team!
Dr. Z attended East Tennessee State University, where she majored in chemistry and minored in business administration. She then attended dental school at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, where she earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Following graduation, Dr. Z completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
Through her extensive training and significant commitment to continuing education, Dr. Z. has gained advanced clinical skills in implants, sedation, cosmetic dentistry, and general dentistry. I've been going here for several years and had a tooth emergency yesterday, they got me in and fixed it pronto! Staff is super efficient, friendly, and overall just amazing!

Their new Doctor's transfer to the building caused problems with our insurance. We have always paid the extra price for the practice being 'Out of network' for us... there was a mistake on both the billing side and my insurance side. My insurance still considered the doctor "in-network"...and instead of Kennedy practice fixing this issue they had my husband pay $403 cash today. They gave him a print off and an excuse without trying to figure out the problem. Once I figured the issues with both my insurance and going to the building I was told I would have a credit on my account.... I do not need a $300 credit on my account. A mistake they made.... I and my children have to have $403 dollars less in my bank account. Dry and unwilling to help. I'm shocked at this, They have been a five star company up until this point. I am now looking for a new practice for my family. Billing department needs to care more for their customers. I want our cash back until after our insurance is billed correctly. Then I'll pay the $50-$100 that it will end up being. Like I always do. It just doesn't make any sense.

My name is Patrick Denier my nick name is Tripp because of my humor. My 2nd visit was today for my 2nd needed extraction but again the pain wasn't even on the scale of the 1-10 well yes it was a minus 8. And it started with Taylor the dental assistant, kind , informative and very professional she knows her profession. Next Dr. Thomas again very kind, informative and so experienced in her profession that I never felt a needle going in my gums like the previous dentist in another town I use to use until it came to my attention that$$$!$ was the real reason they never did the service I needed. Long story but now I found a great home for all my dental needs and concerns and wouldn't blink on recommending others for there dental need. Great Doctors, assistants and office staff. Thank you all.

A place you can 100% trust!! I moved further away from Dr Kennedy so I tried a dentist closer to me. HUGE MISTAKE! He was telling me I had infected gums and needed several crowns. The office was pushing me to join some fluoride program i wasn't sure i needed I had a bad feeling in my gut and decided to drive 45 mins to Dr Kennedy as I trusted him over a period of several years. I was so thankful to reach my safe haven because Dr Kennedy checked me and said I definitely didn't have any type of gum disease and only needed one crown for a chipped tooth. I mentioned to Lindsey his hygienist how lucky I felt to get honest advice from Dr Kennedy. She replied she has seen time and time again patients making the same comment. She joked she loves the office and trusts Dr Kennedy so much they would have to force her out to leave her job. You can tell she respected him as much as I did. It's so hard to know who you can count on to give you honest answers and this place is well worth the almost one hour drive for that.

Both Dr. Kennedy and the hygienists/assistants at this office are so knowledgable, kind, and gentle. They made my visit for a filling enjoyable (which is nothing short of a miracle, since I have terrible dentist-office-anxiety!) Highly recommend!

AMAZING!! I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN AFRAID OF THE DENTIST BUT AT KENNEDY DENTISTRY THEY MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE FAMILY AND OVERCOMPENSATE TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE COMFORTABLE, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANY OF MY FAMILY OR FRIENDS!!!
