Dr. Laura Stewart was born and raised in Mount Vernon, Washington. She attended Pacific Lutheran University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Laura ventured east for dental school and graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2007.
As a new dentist, she desired a meaningful way to begin her career and joined the Indian Health Service. She spent two years on a reservation in rural northern Minnesota and helped develop comprehensive care at an under-served facility. After gaining experience in both public health and private practice, Dr. Laura realized her passion for treating children and completed a pediatric dental residency at the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska in 2013.

My focus is on earning the trust and confidence of your child, utilizing a compassionate and gentle chair side manner. I feel strongly that education, prevention and early detection are the keys to maintaining optimal oral health. Leslie joined our office as a pediatric dental assistant in 2019. Growing up in Mexico, Leslie became fluent in both English and Spanish. She moved to Seattle when she was 12 years of age and later graduated from Everest community college in 2015. Leslie loves connecting and interacting with kids to meet their individual needs. You will always see her smiling and making our patients smile and feel at ease. Leslie has a beautiful daughter named Kaylee who is the most important motivation and impulse in her life. Leslie also loves to go hiking on her free time. Her passion for dental health and her enjoyment of working with kids is the most rewarding parts of her job.
I began my dental career in early 2019 as a scheduling coordinator. After learning more about the field I truly developed a passion for patient care, and just knew I wanted to work chairside. I eventually made my way to Pediatrics in August of 2020, and I immediately fell in love with the specialty. Having two kids of my own and tons of previous experience with children, I understand that every child has different personalities and needs to create a positive experience for them. I strive to give my patients a comfortable and excellent experience so that they will look forward to coming back to the dental office!
I grew up with 5 sisters and 1 brother here in Washington. At the age of 15 we moved to San Diego, CA where I gained experience with customer service & the early stages of working with kids. When I was 21, I decided it was time to move to Austin, TX. I continued to work with kids but wanted to expand my education and attend dental assisting school.
In May 2020 I received my dental assisting license in Austin. I worked for a general practice for about a year before I decided to move back to my home state of Washington. Ive carried a true joy for working with children but ever since working at Kenmore Pediatric Dentistry, that joy has turned into a passion! Seeing little ones gain confidence and come back to the office excited to be cared for here has filled my heart completely!
