Dr. Kendra L. Patterson graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in 1993. Immediately following graduation, she completed a General Dentistry residency. For the next 9 years Dr. Patterson practiced in Mississippi holding two associate positions in two general dentistry practices. She also served as a dentist at two public health facilities, and was a contract dentist at Keesler Air Force base.
In 2003 she moved to Colorado and purchased the practice from Dr. Quentin Dahm. This particular practice was established before 1940 and many patients have been coming to the practice for decades. Many families have members of multiple generations that currently receive care at the practice.
Dr. Patterson continues to operate her establishment as a solo practice, whose main focus is to provide general dental care to patients of all ages throughout their lifetime. It is not unheard of to have a 3 year old patient and a 90 year old patient both in the office at the same time! The office team strives to see our patients on time, every time, and to serve one patient at a time. Special attention is given to make sure that each individual feels comfortable while in the office, and that they have entered a warm and inviting atmosphere filled with compassionate hearts.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Patterson enjoys experiencing the beautiful scenery of Colorado. She enjoys collecting and trying new recipes to share with her friends and family. Book recommendations are always welcome as Dr. Patterson participates in two book clubs.
Jamia ArthurOffice ManagerJamia has been in the dental field for over 16 years and has carried various roles throughout this field. She was a Regional Development Leader & Auditor for many years, training several new hires on every aspect of the dental field. She brings this dedication and strong level of excellence to her role as Office Manager at Kendra Patterson D.M.D., where she has been for 5 years. She truly believes it is important to balance exceptional patient care with a warm, compassionate and inviting atmosphere for every patient that walks through the door. She is honored to be part of a team that embodies these traits. Jamia is originally from the 'Windy City', (Chicago) and enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, dancing and writing in her spare time.
Natasha PadillaEDDA (Expanded Duties Dental Assistant)Natasha has been in the dental field for twenty years. Since she was in middle school, she knew that she wanted to pursue a career in the dental field. She graduated from Concorde Career Institute in 1999, with honors, for dental assisting. Natasha is a Colorado Native who enjoys spending time with family and participating in outdoor activities such as hiking and camping. She is a devoted wife and mother to her three children. Patients appreciate her welcoming, gentle, and compassionate nature. Natasha began working for Dr. Patterson in March of 2018 and she provides exceptional patient care.
If your mouth is always dry, your enjoyment of food and your overall health may be negatively impacted. Dry mouth, otherwise known as xerostomia, can be caused by dehydration, certain medications, weather conditions, autoimmune diseases, and diabetes. Loss of saliva can lead to an increase in mouth acidity, a decrease in the ability to wash away food particles from teeth that leads to tooth decay, and a decrease in the ability to properly digest foods.
