Dr. Kelvin B. Smith received his Bachelor of Science degree from Morgan State University. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Howard University College of Dentistry. After dental school, he completed his General Practice Residency at Provident Hospital.
Dr. Smith is a member of American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Maryland State Dental Association and Catonsville Dental Study Club. In Dr. Smiths spare time, he enjoys sporting activities, such as watching football and basketball.
Dr. Sheida Nakhaei received her bachelors from Towson University. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Howard University College of Dentistry. After dental school, she completed her General Practice Residency at Saint Elizabeth Hospital.
Dr. Nakhaei is a member of American Dental Association and Maryland State Dental Association. In Dr. Nakhaeis spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, attending the movies, and participating in lots of activities with her daughter.
My name is Taciane, but my family, friends, and patients call me Taci. I was born and raised in Brazil. I moved to the USA in my early 20s to pursue a better education. I always wanted to work in the health care field because I have a passion for science and helping others.
I graduated from University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore with a bachelors degree in dental hygiene. I am passionate about my job and patients. Helping my patients improve their oral health and overall wellbeing is my priority. My job has allowed me to meet many great people. I love when I can help someone get their confidence and smile back.

My name is Breon Reid. I was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. My passion for Dental Hygiene began as a child. Ive always been a stickler for oral care. My interest in having good oral care continued throughout my adulthood. So I wanted to make it into a career.
I was licensed by the Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners after receiving my associates of art degree and graduating from Baltimore City Community College. This practice has been wondrous in making that happen as Ive met and become close with many patients. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my three kids.
I was born and raised in Baltimore, MD, the younger of two girls. My passion for Dental Hygiene began shortly after graduating from Patterson High School where I studied bookkeeping and accounting. My passion for Dental Hygiene comes with a paved background for cleanliness. As a native Baltimorean, we scrub white marble steps with Ajax every Saturday Morning.

Immediately following, I started my Dental Hygiene career working for practices both large and small. Ive been practicing hygiene for over 26 years.
Currently I am with an amazing dental team at Kelvin B. Smith DDS Family Dentistry. Here as a team, we provide up-to-date, optimal dental care and receive great encouragement in continuing education by attending ADA meetings. Over the past fifteen years, I have been privileged to travel to San Francisco, Philadelphia, San Antonio, Hawaii, New Orleans, District of Columbia, and Denver.
I always enjoy a good meal with family and friends, especially Sundays after church where I serve as a born again Christian with my mom and sister. During the holidays, we enjoy cooking and Breaking Bread together. My house is also always open for a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Aint no ship like a fellowship!

Our office accepts payments by cash, checks, and Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards. We also offer financing options through CareCredit. If you have any questions about financing or payment, ask us! We will thoroughly explain your choices and work hard to accommodate your needs.
Our office is committed to helping you maximize your insurance benefits. Because insurance policies vary, we can only estimate your coverage in good faith but cannot guarantee coverage due to the complexities of insurance contracts. Your estimated patient portion must be paid at the time of service. As a service to our patients, we will bill insurance companies for services and allow them 45 days to render payment. After 60 days, you are responsible for the entire balance, paid-in-full. If you have any questions, our courteous staff is always available to answer them.

I am so disappointed with this office. I went to them because a filling fell out and needed to be replaced. The dentist assigned to me put in a temporary that fell out before I got out of the office. This should have been my first warning, but I went back the following week to have the permanent filling done. After two weeks, the permanent filling fell out. If this is the type of work they are offering to their patients, I'd be they can have it.

I've been going to Dr. Smith for over 6 years and truly enjoy their office professionalism and the cleanliness of the office. I referred my Godmother to him for dental service and she quite pleased too with his work!!! Love Dr. Smith and his staff.

Dr Barns is awesome. She explains to you what needs to be done, Concern about my comfort while i was getting my tooth extracted. I was surprised when I received a follow up call from her. Dentist I'm not on the top of my list what for favorite doctor's. But my experience with Dr Barns renewed my faith. I with she was around 20 years ago i still would have done a better job of taken care of my teeth. Glad I found her because after she is done with me I will be smiling showing all 32.

I had my first dentist appt in many years here, and I was very nervous. The two receptionists I met, the hygienist, and the dentist were all incredibly friendly, informative, and kind. I saw Dr. Barnes, and she was wonderful. The office is clean and has a very welcoming environment. For a dentist appt, I sure had a pleasant time! Edit to add: I returned to Dr. Barnes for an appt to fill a cavity they found during the cleaning. I had a lot more anxiety than I thought I would and wasn't exactly the easiest patient. The whole time they went above and beyond to inform me what they were doing, encouraged me to communicate with them, tried to reassure me to calm me. I can't thank this dental practice enough!

I've been going to Dr. Kelvin Smith and Associates for years. The office staff is so friendly and professional. I've had bad experiences with dentists but once I started going to this office, I never wanted to go to another dentist.
