Dr. Richard Kelner graduated from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, after which he became involved with the alumni association and booster club there. He attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey for both his dental and periodontal degrees. Dr. Kellner was not only a Chief Resident as a post-doctoral student but also taught at the graduate and post-graduate school for over ten years. Additionally, he held a seat on the Board of Overseers for the School of Dentistry for five years. Dr. Kelners goal is to help his patients maintain their natural teeth in a functional and esthetic way for as long as possible.
He is continually taking advanced continuing education courses in periodontics and general dentistry and lectures locally about integrative medicine, periodontal therapy, and implants to the public, fellow dentists, and physicians. Dr. Kelner has published several articles in his field and has lectured at major conferences, including the International Association of Dental Research. Dr. Kelner is the Program Chair for the Greater Westfield Dental Study Club, where local dentists are exposed to the latest concepts in the various disciplines by regional dental experts.
Throughout his career, Dr. Kelner has been a member of many organizations, including the New Jersey and American Academy of Periodontics as well as the America Dental Association. He has been voted Top Dentist by Consumer Research several times.

The very best experience I've ever had with a periodontist. The entire staff is extremely competent, knowledgeable, empathetic and friendly. Lovely experience for me. Until yesterday I was terrified of dentists, dental hygienists and periodontists! I highly recommend the periodontist, the hygienist, and the the office staff. Outstanding!

Great experience. I was a bit apprehensive about going to a dentist during this pandemic, but my fears were put to rest once I arrived at Dr. Kelner's office. Dr. Kelner and her staff are very welcoming and friendly. The office is clean. The examination rooms are sterile and sanitized. Will highly recommend Dr. Kelner to friends and family.

Kelner Periodontics LLC. Has made a big difference in the way my mouth has felt in years. My previous periodontist which I had for 30 year retired and I thought he was good. Now that I have Kelner Periodontics taking care of me I realize that I have stepped into a whole new modern way of service. Dr Kelner did an amazing job on my implants. It is hard to tell the implants from my real teeth. They do the job as my original teeth did, maybe even better! Dr. Kelner is a true pro- fessional, and extremely knowledgeable. I have trusted her skills for many years.
