Dr Keller has extracted 3 of my molars over the past several years, due to external resorption. He and his staff always make me feel very confident in their procedures and their care for me as a patient. No one likes having their adult teeth removed. I am grateful Keller Periodontics and Associates have been there for me, when their caring expertise was needed.

I called Keller periodontics in May 2020 and they did tell me that they were only taking emergency patients. I said how I had to get cleanings regularly as a result of a circulation issue-and sweet tooth issue if I am being honest- I also mentioned that I was a couple months past when I would have needed to get the cleaning. They agreed to accomodate and brought me in. They said that if need be Dr. Keller would clean my teeth himself as they currently did not have a hygenist due to COVID but by the time I was due for another cleaning a hygenist would be there to take it from there. I paid for the initial cleaning and examination plus xrays which came to $250. Dr Keller did do the cleaning and he did an excellent job. Fast forward however, 3 months later, when I am due to have them cleaned again. They cancelled the appointment by voicemail a week beforehand citing that no hygenist had been hired or contracted to do their cleanings. I called and they said to call back the next month and see if they had put a hygenist in place. I did so and the office assistant then said that I now had to wait until 2021 to see if they could resolve this. She relayed this in a tone that in my opinion reflected that they could care less that they had brought me on board and had me get the xrays and pay for the consultation only to leave me without a dentist for months to come. I called back in Jan 2021 and they scheduled me for a cleaning with a mobile hygenist who was to be there on Friday of the same week and they were now going to charge me $185...for a mere cleaning. They knew how difficult it is now to get into a new dentist and the price reflected that. No worries though because a day later they cancelled that appointment also and attempted to schedule me two months out from then. To be fair I don't know that they informed Dr Keller of this situation specifically but either way the ball was dropped. I understand that COVID has made dental practice much more complicated and difficult. I get that, however, if Dr Keller is there doing surgeries still, which he was, the only fair and in my opinion, moral thing to do, would have been for him to do at least one more cleaning until another hygenist could come on board. The fact that it was only acceptable for him to do the hygenist's work for $250 and that it was fine with the office to leave me to then scramble to find an affordable alternative when most dentists were not accepting new patients, knowing they placed me in this predicament, makes me think that you don't really care about your patients. I would not have come in for xrays had you not commited verbally to continuing care. An apology would have gone a long way but I truly sensed only apathy from the staff. Again to be fair, I don't know for sure that Dr Keller knows that I was calling and asking them to find a solution but he should know.
