After 26 years of practice, my decision to retire has been a difficult one. Challenges with my physical health, specifically my hands and my back, along with the care of aging family members has given me clarity in my decision. After July 1st, I will be seeing patients on a very limited basis completing cases that I have already started. However, the amazing professionals at Keizer Family Dental Care will still be here to serve you with the quality of care that you are used to.
With all of my heart I would like to thank you for your trust and friendship as I have been so richly blessed and honored by all the relationships that have been built along the way. I can truly say that I have been fulfilled in this career of serving those that God has brought under my care and has entrusted to me.
At this time, I am excited to introduce to you a very special person who I know will earn your trust and will continue to treat you with the highest level of care possible. Dr. Darcy Olander is this special person. Dr. Olander was hand-picked to be your new dentist and join our team because of her shared dental practice philosophy and her personalized compassionate care. Dr. Olander brings with her over 15 years of experience in the dental field and was one of our wonderful dental hygienists before pursuing her dream of becoming a dentist. I have the highest confidence in Dr. Olanders abilities and can tell you that she is committed to serving each and every one of you with the individualized care and excellence that you are accustomed to receiving.
Many of you will already know me from my many years working with Dr. Iwahiro as a Dental Hygienist. In fact, my first job in dentistry was working as a receptionist here at Keizer Family Dental in 2005. I immediately fell in love with dentistry, in part because of the wonderful family atmosphere in this dental practice. I went on to become a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2008, and returned to work with Dr. Iwahiro, Dr. Pak, and the KFDC team.
As my skills and passion for dentistry grew, I took the next step and began my journey to become a dentist. With Dr. Iwahiros encouragement and mentorship, I returned to school and completed my Bachelors Degree in BioHealth Sciences, graduating Summa Cum Laude, from Oregon State University in 2016. I then went on to receive my Doctorate of Dentistry from Oregon Health & Science University in 2021. After many years of hard work and study, I am so excited for the opportunity to serve the Salem-Keizer community again, this time as your family dentist!
I am a native Oregonian and enjoy being outdoors in the Pacific Northwest, hiking, gardening, traveling, boating and exploring the beautiful Oregon Coast. I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my wonderful husband, Dan, our two adult sons, Jeremy and Mason, our daughter-in-love Bethany, and our brilliant grandson, Liam. We also love simply relaxing at home with our two dogs and two cats.
Dr. Jackson grew up right here in Keizer. He graduated from McNary High School before getting his degree at Linfield University in McMinnville. After getting his degree, he moved on to getting his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Oregon Health & Science University. He is thrilled to come back and serve his hometown community.
Dr. Jackson emphasizes the relationships he builds with his patients, and he prides himself on his ability to include his patients in the treatment process. Dentistry can be confusing at times, and Dr. Jackson makes sure each patient understands what treatment they need and why. He stays up to date on the latest in dental technology including digital impressions, same-day crowns, 3D imaging technology, root canal treatment, and implant restorations. Dr. Jackson is always expanding his knowledge base to provide the best treatment and preventative care for his patients
Dr. Jackson spends his off days with his wife, Emily, training and walking their dog, Hazel Green. They both enjoy playing board games and going to the Oregon Coast. He likes to keep up with the latest sports news and is a novice wood worker.
I believe everyone deserves a healthy smile that lasts a lifetime, and this is the greatest gift I can share with my patients. I am dedicated to serving my community by providing high quality dental care with a personal touch.
Dr. Darcy is a native Oregonian who began her career in dentistry as a receptionist right here at Keizer Family Dental Care. She went on to earn her degree in Dental Hygiene in 2008. After returning to KFDC for several years as hygienist, she decided to pursue her ultimate dream of becoming a dentist. She completed her undergraduate degree from Oregon State University and her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Oregon Health & Science University.
Dr. Darcy places a high priority on incorporating technology with compassion to provide the best overall patient experience. Her comprehensive and personalized approach to dentistry offers a full spectrum of cosmetic and restorative treatment, including 3D imaging technology, digital impressions, one-visit crowns, root canal treatment, and implant surgery.
Extensive continuing education ensures Dr. Darcy is always current in the dental industry. She is a member of American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Oregon Academy of General Dentistry, Marion Polk Dental Society.
When Dr. Darcy is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Dan, and family. They are proud parents to two wonderful adult sons, Jeremy and Mason, their daughter-in-love Bethany, and their adorable grandson, Liam. Dr. Darcy loves traveling and exploring the mountains of the Pacific NW and the beautiful Oregon beaches. She also loves watching movies, reading, and relaxing at home with her two dogs and two cats.
We regret to announce that as of June 18, 2021, Dr. Jodi Pak will no longer be working with Keizer Family Dental Care. She has left the practice of dentistry due to an unexpected medical condition that requires treatment. Dr. Pak has served our patients with great care and integrity for 6 years. Her presence in the office will be missed by all our team members and the Keizer community. The KFDC family wish her a speedy recovery, and wish her family all the love and support imaginable.
