I graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1996 and moved to Charlottesville, Virginia to complete a general practice residency (GPR) at UVA hospital. After moving to the Shenandoah Valley in 1999 and working as an associate dentist in a practice in Staunton, I opened a dental practice in Waynesboro/ Fishersville area in 2003. My wife Kippy and I have two daughters Abigail and Molly. I enjoy spending time outdoors with them.
I truly enjoy my work. It is great feeling to know that I can make a positive difference in someones health. I take pride in my ability to make even the most anxious patients at ease. I provide dental hygiene services with a gentle touch for the whole family. I graduated from dental hygiene school in 2004. I have been working for Dr OBrien for 10 years. We make a great team. I am married to my high school sweetheart. We have two wonderful children and several spunky cats, at our home in Nelson County, Virginia. I like to read, crochet, and cross-stitch. Recently my family has started camping and we love it. I look forward to seeing your smile at your next visit..
I was born and raised in Waynesboro, Virginia and graduated from Waynesboro high school in 1997. I received my dental assistant certification from Valley Vo-tech in 2006, I have been working for Dr OBrien since then. I strive to make sure our patients are comfortable through all procedures with a caring and positive manner. In my spare time, I enjoy going to my sons high school football games, gardening, andspending time with my children and family.

the staff is awesome, very welcoming and nice. the best dentist i've had by far! i am 21 years old and came in with plenty of work to be done and they helped so much, they will work with you by any means they don't make you feel stupid when you ask questions, overall a great staffing and a great dentist.

Yes, I'm starting to believe that my prayers for a great dentist are about to be answered after reading all these 4 & 5 * reviews! WOW ! Never have I looked forward to going to the dentist, especially in need of the work Im seeking. Thanks for all your help with the awesome reviews !

Very good dentist and I love his staff. Very thorough and he explains things very well. If I do not want something he does not force it nor does he or his staff make me feel stupid or guilty bc I have chosen not to do something. Now that's a good Doctor.

Dr O'Brien and his staff were awesome. it was always a pleasure going there. Warm and friendly climate, made me so comfortable when there. when i moved from area I lost the greatest dentist I ever had.

Our family has been going here for the past 8 years and we have been very pleased with all the great work over the years and wonderful staff. They are also great about seeing me on short notice when I chipped a tooth.

I had to get a small filling in my tooth.. and I HATE shots ..Doctor O'Brien was very calm and walked me through everything. The shot didn't even hurt!!! He is the best. Highly recommended!

Today was my 4 year old sons first time to the dentist, and I was blown away by the hospitality of this practice. The first lady to greet us was very personable and down to earth (sorry I didn't catch her name but I will next time) and seriously went out of her way to help us while we waited. She gave my son some paper and a box of crayons to color with while we waited, and was so great to us. The hygienist Dana, was beyond amazing. She was hilarious and had my son so excited and entertained. I seriously couldn't believe how patient and kind she was, not to mention all of the things she did while we were there that definitely didn't fall under her job description or requirements!!! I also got my teeth cleaned while my 4 year accompanied us (won't do that to them again!!) but they really made me feel like I was wanted there and did any and everything to make our experience great!! My son and I will be long term patients here and were impressed with Dr. O'Brien as well. He is very professional and gentle on the teeth. You can tell he is an expert and takes pride in what he does. Crystal is so sweet and always smiling and brings a positive vibe to the atmosphere as well. What a great combination of office staff to have! Definitely recommend this practice to anyone. They actually took one of their patients that walked in while we were waiting with something bothering his tooth on the spot and helped him right then and there. I have never seen that in a dental office before and my mom has been in this field her whole life. This place gets a 10 from me!
