Dr. Boyd was raised in Scottsdale, Arizona. He attended Arizona State Universtiy and Brigham Young University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1981. He continued his education at University of the Pacific Dental School in San Francisco, CA and graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1984. Following that he was accepted to Tufts Universtiy School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. He received his Certificate of Advanced Education in Periodontics in 1986.
After working for Harvard Community Health Plan, Heritage Family Dental Center, and a private dentist, he decided to move back to his home state of Arizona to practice. His offices in Bullhead City and Lake Havasu City opened in August of 1990. He is known to be very personable with a great chairside manner. His patients also comment regularly on how gentle he is and how he is able to calm the most nervous patient.
Dr. Boyd is married to his wife, Lark Jardine Boyd. They have four children: Carly, husband Jared and sons Braden, Tanner, Cole and Kyler; Rob, wife Krysta and son Korbin; Matt, wife Sasha and son, Sharp; and Jake, wife Carissa. Dr. Boyd enjoys fishing, cycling and exercising.

Best dentist I have ever been to. From the moment you walk in, no crowded waiting room, perfect temperature and the kindest receptionist! No wait!! Taken right back and again, no wait! Dr. Boyd and his sweet assistant Cassi did a very thorough check and made sure I was comfortable the whole time! I'm excited to come back and fix my teeth! Thank you Dr Boyd's office!!!

Dr. Boyd is extremely kind and very thorough about explaining things, and takes time to answer all your questions. He makes you feel very comfortable and at ease. It's so hard finding good doctors especially in the dental field in my experience. I'm so glad I found Dr. Boyd.

I've been a patient of Dr Boyd's many, many years. I've had a lot of procedures (numerous tissue grafts and bone grafts). He's extremely skilled and knowledgable. Dr Boyd is compassionate, caring, And gentle. I've mentioned many times he's not allowed to retire ;-)
