Dr. Griffey was born and raised in Waco and is thrilled to be back in her hometown. She attended Waco Montessori, St. Paul 's Episcopal School, and Vanguard...and then of course Baylor University (sic em!) where she first earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Studio Art followed by a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry. She earned her dental degree from Baylor College of Dentistry, more recently known as Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Dentistry in Dallas. She met her husband, Matthew, while at Baylor in Waco. After 3 cities and 2 kids, they 're excited to settle down and raise their family back home. They have two sons, Pinson (5) and Rollie (3). In her spare time, Dr. Griffey enjoys being a 'boy mom' which often involves playing in dirt, building Lego towers, and tolerating lots of loud noises. She also enjoys cycling, traveling, and art (both producing her own and appreciating others '.)
Dr. Griffey is actively involved in the dental community and is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Texas Dental Association, Central Texas Dental Society, and International Dental Implant Association. She prides herself in staying on top of the latest research and trends in dentistry and takes over 100 hours of continuing education each year. Dr. Griffey doesn 't have an 'area of interest' because her main goal is to do whatever it takes to live up to our clinic 's namesake, which is to help people smile.

Due to bad experiences in the past, I had an incredible fear of dental offices! I also have pretty serious anxiety, especially in instances when I don't have control over the situation. So, as shameful as it is to say.. I avoided the dentist for over a decade. Upon meeting the hygienist, I was so embarrassed to show her my mouth and was so concerned about being shamed or scolded for the tartar buildup around my gums. Adrianna sat me down and immediately made sure I was comfortable and relaxed. She offered local anesthetic and topical to prepare my gums for the debridement, but I was curious to see if it was going to be painful before taking that route. (I'm terrified of being numbed too, go figure!) She was so gentle and nurturing. I got through the entire process without pain and without anxiety. I was really stressed prior to my appointment about the water pooling in my mouth and resisting the urge to swallow, but that wasn't even an issue!! She was so attentive, and actually very quick. This is the BEST cleaning experience and results I've ever experienced! And then Dr Griffey entered and was so sweet and eager to to help! She came up with a plan to get me the smile I've always wanted. I have a few issues that are visually displeasing, including two teeth that erupted in the wrong place and two teeth that didn't have permanent teeth under the gum line. Weird stuff. She made me feel like these things were totally normal and that they wouldn't be an issue with my treatment. I cannot say enough good things about this staff! Excellent all the way around! If you are scared or nervous, this team has what it takes to ease the most anxious minds! Special shout out to Emma for being a true gift, she is so hardworking and talented. Best dental team in town!! I wish I had before and after photos, I'm so excited to smile in photos for the first time in YEARS and that's even before getting all of the work finished! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

Wow! The whole team is so amazing! Dr.griffey is so SWEET! I will definitely recommend everyone to come here. I had more than a FEW fillings done and also a minor little chipped tooth that needed to be taken care of. Let's just say from the cleaning , fillings and she referred me out to a doctor to help me remove all 4 of my wisdom teeth. As of today I have a healthy smile they were able to get me in quickly. The whole team there is so amazing they made sure I understood the process and answered all of my questions. Everything looks perfect!!!

Dr. Griffey and her team are amazing! They are welcoming, helpful and informative. This is a very high tech and efficient but homey and inviting office. I would definitely recommend Keep Smiling Waco for all your Dental needs.

This was our first time visiting the clinic and just walking in we were greeted with warm smiles (you could see it in there's eye with their face-mask) and friendly professional Hello. Once back in the waiting room Elvia was the dental Hygienist that serviced me. She was very thorough with my teeth cleaning procedure and very informative that made me feel safe and comfortable in my visit. This was the best teeth cleaning I have ever had done. When the dental doctor come in she was so kind , informative, understanding and patient. I had questions answered that I have been needing answers from others practices that no one could direct the answer to a solution. My overall experience here was magnificent and would highly recommend them.

Can't recommend Dr. Griffey and her team enough. Nella was the receptionist who kindly greeted us and helped us get settled. Elvia was the hygienist for my son and myself and we loved her. She told us what to expect and educated us on procedures etc. Dr. Griffey went way above and beyond to make my smile look great and Julia is the Queen of Comfort - highly recommend!
