As a dental professional, I stay up to date on the latest advancements in dentistry in order to provide the most current treatment options for my patients. As a doctor, I recognize that my patients are unique individuals who have placed a great deal of trust in me and my team. That is just one reason why I value each and every patient relationship!
Born at UCLA Hospital, I grew up in California and that is where I started my undergraduate studies. I joined the United States Armed Forces and relocated to Germany in 1984 to complete a tour in the field of Dentistry. Following my service in the military, I relocated to Clearwater, Florida and continued my studies at Saint Petersburg College obtaining my Dental Hygiene Degree and License. Extremely zealous with all aspects of Dentistry, I continued my education at the University of South Florida making my way to the Doctorates program at the University of Florida's College of Dentistry. I actively participated in several organizations including the American Dental Association, PSI Omega Dental Fraternity, Give Kids a Smile, Project HEAL (Health Extension and Learning program, a missionary group of Health Professionals reaching out to distant countries) and dedicating time to a community service program called We Care which brings affordable dentistry to less fortunate local residents.
Currently, I have completed over 30 months of training and am certified as a fellow for Implant Diagnostics with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, trained and certified in Tip Edge and Clear Correct Orthodontics, Botox and Dysport fillers and an active member of the ADA and AGD. For fun I enjoy boating, fishing, walks on the beach and movies!

Great dentist, great service with best dental work ever received! Dentist cared about my needs and preformed exceptional work. Not pressured into anything i could not do. Worked with me on all treatment. Best dentist and staff! Cant say enough

My husband has Parkinson's and over the past few years that has taken priority over his dental health. After he lost part of a crown, I knew it was time to find a dentist who could help with it and many other dental issues that needed attention. I googled dentists nearby and found Keep Smiling, they had great reviews!! We were out driving and decided to go by the office to check them out. I went inside and was greeted by Sherri, the receptionist, and immediately felt a connection. We talked for a few minutes and I gave her some information, she texted that same day to set up an appointment. We went yesterday and have found our new dentist! The entire staff is so caring and went out of their way to accommodate my hubby in his wheelchair. They were able to fix many of his issues that first visit, working on him between other patients. Truly feel like we won the lottery, highly recommend this wonderful dental practice, where every patient feels important!

My husband went to Dr. Habner after getting the runaround from our dentist. Dr. Habner was able to provide the service and expertise needed to save his tooth. Beautiful office, friendly staff, and knowledgeable doctor. Happy to have visited Keep Smiling Dental.

I Love this office all the staff. Dr has been a miracle Worker improving my dental health. She is very meticulous and the office is super clean. Front office Colleen and Sherry. Kudos to them . Victoria the dental Assistant Is wonderful and very thorough. I appreciate this office and the entire staff. I have been coming here over a year and it is my permanent dental office forever. My family will be coming here as they move closer to her office in Clearwater,FL Dr. Laura Habner thank you for saving my smile. I have finally found the correct Dr. She also teaches the newer assistants and has all her degrees hanging in her office. Brilliant is my final Word.

This office goes above and beyond! Dr. Habner and her staff are amazing! My daughter started to have severe tooth pain and Dr Habner and her staff were able to fit her in to find out what was going on with her. We came in as a new patient Dr. Habner made my daughter her top priority in finding out what was going on and working up a treatment plan for her. Colleen at the front desk is so helpful and so caring!!! You really feel like you are being treated like a family member. Clearly the patient is definitely their top priority.

Good experience with this office. Little wait time and both the hygienist and the Dr are very thorough and friendly. I'm sending my daughter to them and anyone else that needs a dentist.

I would give these den of thieves zero stars if that was an option. I had just completed a full X-ray from a previous dentist and was having a hard time getting them released. Keep smiling said that they would redo my X-ray at no charge. But they billed my insurance anyways. My insurance would not pay it because I just had X-rays done. Now I am receiving harassing phone calls from Keep Smiling. And just a side note my current dentist Smile Design did my X-ray (no charge) and found far less work that needed to be done than the thieves at Keep Smiling.

While looking for a new dentist in the area, I decided on Keep Smiling because of the friendly staff and the easy process of becoming a new patient. The office staff was very helpful and the experience was exactly what I wanted in a visit to a new dentist. *Update 3-22-2022 - Downgraded from a positive review to a TWO STAR review based on a I just received a call from a person claiming to work for KSD threatening to send me to collections over a supposed balance. They claimed I had unpaid bills that were over two years old yet couldn't prove how or why a balance was owed nor could she document that the fault with their billing didn't fall on anyone on the office staff. I understand businesses are hurting due to COVID, but I paid all of my bills in full (back in 2020!) and provided insurance at the time of service and have the documentation to prove it. Will not return and would no longer recommend based on the interaction with the phone representative.

From Colleen at the front desk to Dr. Habner and her assistants/hygienists in the back, you will have a friendly, courteous, and professional experience. Dr. Habner is truly "patients first", I know I'm in good hands with this team.

I have been a patient at Keep Smiling Dental for 2 years. If you are looking for a conservative dentist, then this is not the option for you. Dr. Habner and her team are personal and give you a treatment plan that tackles all the necessary issues. They are upfront with not only what you need to get done, but also pricing. They are flexible and I feel cared for when I am there. I have gotten cavities filled, a root canal, and much more as I have very weak teeth (due to genetics). With all these treatments, Dr. Habner is sure to numb me completely so I am comfortable. Mallory (Dental assistant) & Colleen (front desk) are also great. I will continue my care here until I move out of the area.

I've seen several dentist offer the years. When I met Dr Laura I knew she was the dentist for me. She's honest, extremely knowledgeable and truly cares for her patients. I never knew I am a teeth grinder in my sleep. All the dentist I've seen and not one of them told me. She did. I know have a properly fitted nighttime that will protect my teeth for years to come. Bait and switch tactics. Very unprofessional and rude staff. Do not consult prior to treatment and then threaten police involvement if you don't pay for treatment that they did not discuss or get authorization for prior to. This is fraudulent and threatening behavior which I believe is illegal. They broke my personal property, eyeglasses, when the rude receptionist saw my personal property in a chair which they took off of me for x-rays and she sat right on them breaking them and then laughed and thought that I should just go get a new pair! Neither she nor the dentist offered to reimburse me for the damages. I would never refer anybody or return to this place. They do not deserve even one star.
