Beginning with your first phone call or office visit, our wonderful staff will treat you like a family. We will listen to your needs, concerns, fears and hopes and develop a treatment plan designed specifically for you.
As an integral part of our community, we support and sponsor many organizations. These include Redmond and Ridgeview High Schoolacademics and athletics, Jericho Road, 4H, the Kemple Clinic, FAN, Donated Dental Services, Empty Bowls, Sparrow Clubs and Reach Another Foundation.
When you become a patient at our office, we strive to treat you like family. We will put you at ease in a comfortable and warm environment while providing you with high quality dental care. We treat people of all ages.
Children will usually be seen at our office as soon as they are comfortable being here. We encourage a happy visit at any age to get acquainted. In most situations we are able to treat children easily and comfortably at our office.
Our elderly population has another set of concerns which we will address. How do I get to the office? How do I pay for service? What about my other health concerns?We will do our best to provide great dental care while being aware of your other concerns.
In the middle of this spectrum is everyone else . . . students, parents, working folks, snowbirds, etc.We all have our particular concerns and it is our goal to be able to address these professionally and with a personal touch.

The prime purpose of our practice is to help you and all our patients develop a plan for the protection and preservation of their teeth. We believe in developing enjoyable relationships with our patients based on sharing information honestly on all dental health conditions and developing a plan of treatment that is in your best interest. Wefeel you should be completely informed of the advantages and disadvantages of treatment alternatives so that you can makechoices that suit your personal needs.
Excellence and dedication to detailare the passwords of our practice. We strongly believe in developing an achievable plan of prevention and correction prior to starting treatment. We want you to know the condition of your mouth and be in control of your dental health. With this in mind, we follow the ODA recommendations of scheduling all new patients for examinations and appropriate x-rays with Dr. Keener first.
Dr. Mark Keener grew up in Portland, Oregon. His journey to become a dentist took a winding road. After graduating with a Biology degree from Lewis and Clark College, he worked as a biologist for two years in Southeast Alaska. He and his wife, Ann, then joined the Peace Corps and served in Nepal for 2 1/2 years. After returning back to Oregon he began dental school at Oregon Health Sciences University. After graduating in 1991 he did a fellowship for one year, then he and his young family went back to Nepal where he worked at the American Embassy Dental Clinic in Kathmandu for 2 years. He and his family moved to Redmond in 1994 at which time he was able to purchase his current practice. He is a member of the Central Oregon Dental Society, Oregon Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Keener has immersed himself into his community. He has been active with the Boys and Girls Club, youth athletics, 4H, Jericho Road,Donated Dental Services,Family Access Network(FAN)and Empty Bowls. He provides donated dental work for the Kemple Clinic, TheDental Lifeline Network, FAN and others who may be in need. Dr. Keener has been married to his wife Ann, a special Ed Teacher at Ridgeview High School, for 36 years. They have two children, Jed and Rae. In his free time, Dr Keener loves to fly fish, cycle, camp and travel the world. You might even see him in the Dry Canyon trying to keep up with his hygienists on an afternoon run!
Dr. Jed Keener grew up in Redmond, Oregon. He is a 2007 graduate of Redmond High School where he played three varsity sports. He graduated from Gonzaga University in 2011 with a degree in Biology and a minor in History. After college, he worked as an engineer in the oil and gas industry in various parts of the United States. In 2013 he retired from the oil field and spent 6 months back in Central Oregon where he was an assistant varsity basketball and football coach at Ridgeview High School. In 2014, he enrolled at Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha Nebraska. Dr. Keener graduated from dental school in the spring of 2018 and moved back to Central Oregon to start practicing. He is a member of the Oregon Dental Association, American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Keener is excited to become an integral part of the Redmond community. He plans to coach multiple sports at the high school level, become a member of the Redmond rotary club and continue the traditions his father has started by donating dental work to various organizations that provide services to families in need. Dr. Keener met his lovely wife Dr. Mary Kate Grady while in dental school. They recently became proud owners of a golden retriever puppy named Marv and cant wait to explore the Central Oregon outdoors. He is a die-hard Gonzaga Basketball, Seattle Mariners and Portland Trailblazers fan. When he is not in the office there is a good chance you can find him beating his dad on a local golf course or fly-fishing on the Deschutes River.

Nearly three years ago I was shopping for a new dentist. As soon as I walked into the office and talked to the staff person at the front desk, I knew this was the one for me! I have not been disappointed. It really does feel like family. Dr. Jed and the other staff members are wonderful and all my visits have been comfortable and relaxed. I would even go so far as to say that this is my favorite dental office of all time!

Our family recently switched to Dr. Keener's office and we are so happy! Tina at the front desk was patient and professional as she helped me get through all of my paperwork. Dr. Keener was wonderful with my middle schooler. We are very pleased with this office and glad we made the change!

Amazing Dental Skills! I was highly impressed with the skills Mary Kate possessed and Brooke was an amazing addition they are a good team. I was impressed by how quickly and painless both the root canal and the filling was completed. would recommend Keener family dentistry in the future and am eager to continue my dental care with such kind people. my only complaint would be that the receptionist seemed kind of rude not only to me but to my girlfriend also. other than that amazing experience

Since my children have been young, they have loved visiting Dr. Keener' s office! I know, go figure! They enjoy the atmosphere of the office, and how gentle the treatments are. Mark is very mellow, laid back and fun while still maintaining a professional atmosphere. He is very gentle and highly skilled. Going to the dentist could not be better than at this practice!

Dr. Keener is calm and patient. I needed this after a less than desirable dental experience as a teen. I take all 5 of my kiddos there with me and we feel welcomed, relaxed, never feel rushed or kept waiting for too long. The hygienist are as sweet as can be and so kind to the children. In addition to excellent service and a calm environment the office staff is very competent. LIKE VERY!! I've called into schedule our family of 7 and the gal will verify that each appt. is at least 6 mos & 1 day from the last appt. in keeping with the verbiage of our insurance coverage! I've not once had issues with billing, insurance, or scheduling with this business. As a bonus, their waiting room toys are appropriate for a waiting room and my kids love them. My kids ask to go to this dentist!
