We LOVE going to Dr. Kearns & Ashby!! Dr. Ashby is wonderful and always puts my son (and me) at ease. The staff are so warm and compassionate and patient with little kiddos. The office has amazing decorations, perfect for children. Can't say enough great things about them.

The experience is much worse for older children than it is for younger ones.

Decided not accept a child once they turn 16. No notice for parents that don't have email. Was told they need room for younger children. Guess my child no longer matters, to this dentistry. Have been loyal to them even though they no longer accepted my insurance delta dental . Does not say much for a practice that has been seeing a child since 18 months. Save your child by going to a practice that won't kick them in the back because of turning another year older. All this being said Dr.Ashby is amazing. Wish him the best in retirement!!

Dr. Ashby is the best. We love interacting with him and his assistant. He is so wonderful with our 'special needs' child, very caring, very gentle, very understanding and a calming influence. We've appreciated him so much over the past 18 years of interactions with him. Couldn't have a better experience!

This office does not allow a parent to accompany their child, as young as 3 years of age, in the back for their cleaning or routine X-rays. This is new Covid protocol. Even though they take the parent and child's temperature, ask the Covid exposure questions, and have everyone in a mask. They then hand you a pager and ask you to wait in your car. This is completely unacceptable. My son was 3 at his first cleaning and the only way they allowed me back was to ask "someone" permission. I was thankfully granted it that day, but now 6 months later, my son is 4, and they wouldn't allow me back because this wasn't his first cleaning. Not only would they not allow me back, but she made ME feel crazy for asking! I can't imagine what parent would not only be okay with their young child having a medical procedure done, as minor as it is, on their own. Let alone leaving the building while this is happening. I immediately left my son's appointment and called 3 other dental practices asking if this protocol was being practiced in their office. All 3 said absolutely not and that of course parents are allowed to be with their child, of any age. I transferred my children out immediately. I would like to know how this is even allowed? What if something were to happen while my 4 year old is getting his teeth cleaned, and I'm sitting in my car? Or what about the general anxieties associated with any kind of appointment with young children, is separating that child from their parent good practice? I don't know how anyone would be okay with this, and I don't know who thought this was a good rule to implement.

My son who is 3 had his first dentist appt and everyone was great! He did much better than I thought he would because they explained what they were going to do before they did it. They even let him see the tools they were going to to use. Highly recommend!

The Kearns & Ashby office has always been a place that my kids felt comfortable and where they could get excellent care. I feel like there have been a couple things that were minor but in the moment frustrating but overall very happy!

LOVE this practice. I have a nine year old with autism and they are always so good with him! Very kind, gentle, and caring. We usually see Dr Ashby, he's amazing with a wonderful bedside manner. We just saw Dr Patil for the first time today and he was so good with my little guy. Explained everything to him and went very slowly so my son could get used to what he was doing. They also always let my son hold the tools and get comfortable with them before starting their exam. I would give them 10 stars if I could! Best pediatric dentistry practice! We've been with them for 7 years now and no complaints!

Dr. Kearns & staff were great. They were extremely kind and patient with our toddler, who has some fear and shyness over office visits. They were very thorough and communicative, taking time to address all of my questions and concerns. We highly recommend to anyone looking for an amazing pediatric dentist!

This office was great. My little girl was very nervous about visiting the dentist for the first time, but after only a few minutes she was relaxed and at ease. Now her anxiety is mostly gone!

My son has autism and is afraid of male providers. His provider at this practice was male and I did know before we went in, however, when I explained it to them , they were NOT offended in the slightest and even offered to assist us with another dentist who was female in their office. They were AMAZING! My son has a lot of dental issues and not once did he blame me for anything with my son's teeth . I highly recommend this practice. I am very picky when it comes to providers and they exceeded my expectations!
