We specialize in Braces and Invisalign for Children, Teens, and Adults and Comprehensive Dental Services for Children and Teens. We have been proudly serving our Kansas City, Gladstone, Liberty, Parkville, and Platte City families for over 12 years.
It all started when the Midwest winds blew the stork off course from Hawaii to deliver me to a hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. Since that time, I have called many places home. Raised under the bright lights of the Las Vegas strip by loving parents, I enjoyed spending time with my 6 brothers, playing high school sports, and exploring the great outdoors. During college, I spent the summers working cattle, mending fences, and fishing for catfish on my familys farm outside of Cameron in Northwestern MO, and the rest of the year I had my nose in the books. While in college I met the girl of my dreams, Jada, a beautiful southern belle from Charleston, SC. Meanwhile, I also managed to get a Bachelors degree in Animal Science. I then attended dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina and graduated 4 years later in the top of the class with honors. I was invited to membership in OKU, the National Dental Honor Society. I then spent 2 additional years at Marquette University in Packer country acquiring a Masters degree and a certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. As lady luck would have it, the Midwest winds began to blow again and they led me to build a successful practice with in Kansas City, Missouri. Myself, my wife Jada, and my 4 sweet children absolutely love it out here on the frontier close to family, friends, and the farm!

We are fort timers experiencing braces and my daughter was very relaxed and comfortable in the office today. The staff was kind, patient and knowledgeable.

It took me almost a year to write this. Originally, I wanted to write a raving review after our first experience. However, I held out because I really wanted to be able to leave an honest review of multiple experiences, not just the initial one. We drive roughly 2 hours to this dentist for both cleanings and orthodontics. We originally were seeing a small, local dentist. Parents were unable to go back with their children, and the dentist would walk the child back to the front desk when done, where the dentist would tell the front desk what they did, and when to book the next appointment. There was no time for questions, and it made us feel out of the loop when it came to our children. After 11 years of being uncomfortable, we decided to check into another dentist. I searched for days, reading reviews, and decided to make an appointment here. The first appointment was excellent. While sitting in the lobby I watched the women behind the desk welcome everyone, and even come out and ask about their job or how summer went. She would address everyone by their name, and she befriended everyone. I still see this same behavior every appointment and always impressed that everyone who comes in receives the same treatment. During the appointment we were allowed to go back with our child, and were informed of everything that was happening. But more importantly, so was our child. They told him what they were going to do, why they were doing, and what to expect. They would always ask "is that ok? Or does that sound ok? Or do you have any questions?" I was thoroughly impressed with the fact that they prioritized communication with both of us. A year later and I still see this same level of communication. Before this, I really just thought "well, this is how all dentist are". But, it's not. If you're struggling to find your child a dentist or orthodontist, know that you're not alone, and that good dentist and orthodontist are out there. And this is one of them. The only thing I would have done differently is come a little sooner.

They are always very efficient and on time. Everyone we've dealt with have been so helpful and friendly. Even during procedures that my child was nervous about. They made the whole process fun and exciting. Both kids look forward to coming here!

We love KC Braces + Kids! Lindsay was so nice to work with. The staff is all so friendly and welcoming. We are very impressed by the fact Dr. Christensen texted the night my daughter got her braces on to see how she was doing.

We had to switch dentists a little while ago because our dentist retired and I am so glad that he recommended KC Braces + Kids. Every doctor and dental hygienist at this practice have been absolutely amazing with both of my kids, especially with our son who is on the spectrum. We have used the regular dentistry and orthodontics and every visit is great.

Amy was wonderful. She made my son feel so comfortable. All the employees made us feel welcome and were very friendly and outgoing. My son said they were very gentle when he was getting his braces on. They also were informative on the dos and do nots with braces.

My son had braces put on today Amy A. Was his hygienists and was absolutely wonderful. She made him feel comfortable and explained things very well to him on how to care for his braces. Everyone there is nice and welcoming. Love this place!
