Dr. Jean Kay is proud to welcome patients to a practice where real caring and compassion, combined with education and experience, are used to provide the best in orthodontic care. Her dedication of service to the patient along with the support of a carefully selected, knowledgeable team creates excellence in both patient care and clinical results.
Dr. Kay is a graduate ofCornell University, where she received her bachelors degree in chemistry and economics. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Columbia University College ofDental Medicine, where she also obtained her certificate in orthodontics.
Dr. Kay is a member of the Schulman Study Group, a nationally recognized association of prominent orthodontic practices. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Ohio Dental Association, and Toledo Dental Society.
Dr. Kay is married and resides in Perrysburg, Ohio. She and her husband are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters. During Dr. Kays free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, running, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Brent Paulus received his undergraduate degree with honors from the Ohio State University. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from OSU as well. He completed an orthodontic residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, where he receivedan MSD postgraduate specialty degree in orthodontics. After working in private practice in Colorado Springs, Dr. Paulus and his wife moved back to Ohio to be closer to family.
We are confident that you will appreciate the skill, care, and efficient treatment that Dr. Paulus brings to our practice. Along with a dedication toattending orthodontic continuing education courses, Dr. Paulus lectures to the pediatric dental residents at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. He also supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation. It is a chance for him to give back to the community.
Dr. Paulus comes from a family of orthodontists! His father and his brother are both orthodontists in Alliance, Ohio. His wife, Dr. Ashley Paulus, is a pediatric dentist at Sylvania Pediatric Dental Care. They enjoy spending time with family and friends. Outside the office, they enjoy snow skiing, training for marathons, and hiking.

The doctors and staff at Kay & Pauli's are wonderful to work with. Everyone always has a smile on their face. Both of my kids have treated with their practice. I highly recommend!

I have four daughters that have all had or are currently in braces. Over eight years ago Dr. Kay was recommended to us as the best orthodontist in the area. I now know that to be true - I've seen and heard of other doctors' work and there really is no comparison to Kay & Paulus. One set & known price with no hidden fees, great customer service, convenient locations, & high quality results was more than enough reasons for me to trust them with all four of my girls. An easy 5 star rating that comes with my highest personal recommendation:)

So impressed with the "well oiled machine" Everything always goes smoothly. We have been coming in for 2 years for consulting and were never asked for any form of payment until my son actually got braces put on which was great! Super friendly staff - ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!

Very nice facility and staff! They explained everything so well, and was very detailed about it. This office was referred to us by our regular dentist and I wasn't looking forward to the drive there for every visit. But the drive is so worth Dr. Kay & Courtney were great! Looking forward to working with Dr. Kay to get my child's teeth on the right track!

It's never too late to get your teeth straightened out, i'm 54 and the staff at K&P did an outstanding job. DId the Invisalign and went from crooked teeth to nice straight teeth in 18 months! Thanks for the new smile!

We had our first visit at Kay and Paulus Ortho recently and overall it was really great. When you walk in, the front desk is very welcoming and personable. There was a friendly staff member who worked with us throughout the whole appointment, walked us thru each part of the visit and answered our questions. Dr. Paulus reviewed with us the upcoming procedure and answered our questions as well. My son felt very comfortable during his entire visit. The wait time was reasonable and my son's favorite part was the ice cream.

My daughter just got her braces off yesterday. This has been a 5 year process for her with 2 different phases. The staff and doctors at Kay & Paulus Orthodontics are amazing!!!! You truly feel a part of their family once you are a patient there. The offices are spotless and the staff is so very accommodating and kind.
