A native of Orange County, California, Dr. Emily completed dual BS degrees in Mathematics and Biological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine. Subsequently, she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the prestigious University of the Pacific in San Francisco in 2001, where she was a recipient of numerous awards. She is happily married to Dr. Thomas Nguyen, a physician at the Visalia Medical Clinic. They have one young son.
Dr. Philip grew up in Orange County, California. He completed his BS degree in Biological Sciences - Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He received his DDS degree in 2005 at the University of the Pacific in beautiful San Francisco, where he met his classmate and future spouse Dr. Gwen Nguyen. He practiced in both Northern and Southern California for a few years, until he and his spouse decided to call the Central Valley their home. He has undergone numerous additional training in Implant Dentistry in Los Angeles.
Dr. Gwen hailed from San Jose, California. She graduated with a BS degree in Psychology from Santa Clara University in her hometown. Following the footsteps of her mother and brother, she became a dentist in 2005 with a degree from the University of the Pacific, San Francisco. There, she met Dr. Philip and they were soon married after dental school. They settled in Visalia, which is the perfect half way point between their respective families. She received an additional 2 years of training in Orthodontics through the Progressive Orthodontics Seminars program in Orange County.
Dr. Alfonse completed his DDS degree closer to home at the University of California, Los Angeles. He went on to become a Pediatric Specialist at New York University. He has travelled extensively to third world countries to provide humanitarian dentistry, as well as to underserved remote places right here in the United States. He currently works in Los Angeles and travels to Visalia and Hanford a few days a month to provide dentistry to children in the area.

I have had not so great experiences with dentists in the past and have put off getting treatment because of that. The staff at Kaweah Dental are amazing. The front office staff are always friendly and welcoming. The Doctors are compassionate and caring and listen to your concerns and address them. I had services done today and not exaggerating when I say it was the best and most painless experience I have ever had getting dental treatment. I have full confidence in Kaweah Dental for all my future care and have been caring for my kids for a few years now. Like I said I have been weary of dentist but this experience has changed my outlook. Thank you so much Dr. Doan you are one of a kind! My regret is not finding there office sooner.

I I'm not a fan of going to the dentist by all means but this place has me well tooken care of. My teeth feel amazing thankyou to all of the staff there.such a peaceful environment.

Dr. Philip & his assistants are amazing! I came across their dentist office via a google search since I was in need of a dentist in the Visalia area. I noticed they had a lot of 5 star reviews, so I decided to go to them to get my wisdom teeth out & to fill a few cavities. Let me tell you, their 5 star reviews are definitely accurate! Dr. Philip is a phenomenal dentist. I've had a few dentists in the past and he's by far my favorite dentist. You could see that he really cares about all his patients. That also goes for his assistants too, they're very friendly and always willing to work with my schedule to make sure I'm well taken care of. Thank you to this amazing team for making my dentist visits worth every penny!

My best friend had suggested this facility for my families dentistry needs. They have been amazing to my entire family. We had taken our youngest for her very first appointment and they did amazing with her. The office staff is super polite and friendly. It's nice going to a location with friendly faces and great quality of work

When we moved to the area about 3 years ago, I was anxious about getting a new dentist for the family, but we have been with Kaweah Dental since then and have no plans of changing! They treat you like a friend and take care of what's necessary for your oral hygiene. When my husband chipped a tooth, they got him in ASAP. They don't push products or procedures on you and I have always gotten an honest vibe from them. They are even patient and absolutely amazing with my 5 and 4 year olds! I have and will continue to recommend this family dentist!

The experience that me, my wife, my children my mother all have at Kaweah Dental is by far the best in the business. For the service, atmosphere, knowledge and understanding of orthopedics and dental work, Phillip his wife and their team kill it every single time. Dr. Philip and Dr. Quyen are so wonderful. My family and I have been under their trusted care for over 10 years and continue looking forward to our visits to Kaweah Dental. Dr. Philip always makes sure we understand the treatment plans by taking the time to explain any questions we have. Dr. Quyen has administered incredible orthodontic treatment on my siblings and me. Both Dr. Philip and Dr. Quyen are thorough, efficient, and above all, make you feel comfortable and well-cared-for.

I've looked for a good Dentist for awhile and I'm very happy with Kaweah Dental. I found it to be very nice and Dr's seem to really care about you as a patient. I highly recommend going here. They will work with your on payments as well

We tried a couple of dentists in our area, bit something just wasn't right until we came here. The whole staff is great. You feel welcomed everytime. My kids love this place.My then 3 year old wasn't even scared to get work on without any meds. Because the staff made her feel everything was ok.

If you are looking for professional dental services with outstanding customer service, care and a gentle experience. Kaweah Dental is the place to go for an excellent Dentist, Orthodontist, and other dental professionals who care about their patients while also educating them on their dental care needs. My family has been receiving care from this office for over 10 years and not one complaint or problem. I have and do recommend this office to family and friends without reservations or concerns because I know they will be taken care of at the highest possible level of service. If 6 stars were available, they'd get 7 stars!
