Dentist, Dr. Marianna Kaufman, is a Wellington, Florida resident and a Florida native since childhood. She graduated The University of Miami with a bachelors degree in Psychology and double minor degrees in Biology and Chemistry. In 2002, Dr. Kaufman received her doctorate degree in Dental Medicine from The University of Florida, College of Dentistry. She served as a Legislative Liaison in the American Student Dental Association for two years. As the liaison, Dr. Kaufman was directly involved in legislature as it pertains to dentists and to their patients. Having always participated in community service projects, Dr. Kaufman organized multiple opportunities for dental students to serve the underprivileged. In 2006, She opened her Wellington, Florida practice. Dr. Kaufman has a thirst for knowledge which has not faltered over these past 16 years of practice. She has completed courses in cosmetic dentistry which were given by some of the top cosmetic instructors in the world. In addition, Dr. Kaufman has taken hundreds of hours in Orthodontic continuing education. With this training, she is able to provide the most comprehensive approach possible when treating her patients. Most commendably, Dr. Kaufman earned her Neuromuscular/Physiological Fellowship from the esteemed Las Vegas Institute (LVI). A distinction held by less than 1% of practicing dentists. As a Neuromuscular Dentist, Dr. Kaufman evaluates the big picture when considering her patients unique treatment needs. She considers herself a doctor of the mouth and, as such, she evaluates supporting soft tissues, muscles, jaw joints, airway, and diet in addition to the teeth and gums. Dr. Kaufmans strong scientific, functional and cosmetic training coupled with a holistic approach and commitment to the use of non-toxic materials sets her apart from her colleagues. Dr. Kaufman continues to provide services for the underprivileged by providing free dental care to those who cannot afford it. She is committed to educating individuals on the importance of proper home care and diet without the use of toxic chemicals. When I graduated dental school I was so eager to begin my career as a dentist. My first few years were spent in gaining speed and confidence in my ability. The next few years were actually tougher...... I began to realize that although I had learned so much, there was so much left to learn. Neuromuscular dentistry served to fill in the blanks for me.
