Born and raised on Kaua'i, Dr. Goo returned home in August 2014 to serve her island community. She is the first dentist in her family, coming from a long history of farmers who cultivated rice in Kalihiwai Valley on the northshore of Kaua'i.
Dr. Goo completed her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in June 2013, graduating in the top-ten of her dental school class. She completed a dual degree program and also obtainedher Master's in Public Health in 2012, where she was ranked number one.In 2013, she was inducted into the prestigious Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Dr. Goo continued her education by completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency with Lutheran Medical Center in June 2014, with an emphasis in working with medically complex patients, patients with special needs, laser dentistry, and advanced surgical techniques, such as implant placement, bone grafting. and periodontal surgeries.
Dr. Goo was drawn to dentistry for thepositive impact she could have on patients by educating them about their oral health, soothing their dental fears, and bringing joy and confidence to their lives by improving their dental conditions. She is passionate about her work, which you will always see by a smile on her face! In her free time, Dr. Goo enjoys spending time with her family, surfing, mountain biking, trying new food, and enjoying the beauty and adventure offered by her island home.

I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Goo and Kauai Family Dentistry!!! Visiting Dr. Goo and Kauai Family Dentistry will make your dental experience the BEST IT CAN POSSIBLY BE I first went to see Dr. Goo needing a lot of dental work, including multiple cavities, regular cleanings and in need of an implant Dr. Goo is exceptionally friendly, caring and was always available to spend as much time as I need to explain the details of the procedures as well as thoroughly counseling me through all my different treatment options I can be a nervous wreck when visiting the dentist and it has been so assuring to have a dentist like Dr. Goo be patient enough to answer all of my questions I felt so cared for, respected and listened to as Dr. Goo spent a lot of time counseling me on all my different treatment options and explaining everything in detail to help me feel confident in myself and regaining my oral health It is so refreshing to be treated as a whole person by a medical doctor and to feel safe enough in the dentist chair to relax during my visits. With Dr. Goo, I knew that she was happy to pause her work at any time to answer more of my questions or help me feel more comfortable in any way she could In addition, upon entering their office, I was always greeted by warm and friendly receptionists which was great to help me relax before getting in the chair The hygienists and dental assistants are also very friendly and share the same vibe of client care Dr. Goo is truly a professional in every sense of the word and it is obvious from her personality and client centeredness that her passion is to truly serve the community of Kauai and whoever is lucky enough to grace her chair Unfortunately I am no longer able to visit Kauai Family Dentistry because I recently moved 6,000 miles away.... but Dr. Goo's care is so exceptionally, I'd consider flying 12 hours just to see her again! Thank you Dr. Goo!!!! p.s. my daily and regular oral hygiene has improved considerably as a result of my experience with Kauai Family Dentistry Sincerely

Dr. Goo and her staff are amazing! The level of personalized care they provide is unparalleled. I recently had a filling replaced and later that day I received a call from Dr. Goo, checking in on me to make sure I was recovering nicely. It made such an impression on me that I have been telling all my friends to go to Kauai Family Dentistry. Mahalo Dr. Goo!

Nice place but there's not enough privacy for patients dentist and assistant talks to you on the waiting area where people are waiting and can hear everything exposing why you're in there and treatment stuff,which is kinda embarrassing. Dental cleaning is rushed. Dentist Goo needs to be proactive and not be letting her patients call orthodontist when patients has no knowledge about dentistry, dentist supposed to know what procedures we need, man they work for money i swear no care for patient patients

Whoa! Never thought i would be enjoying my visits to the dentist. The staff is caring, enjoyable to talk to, thorough (way more done in a cleaning than i have ever experienced) and flat out caring. Dr. Goo herself is just out of this world. While my filling was smooth and painless, i still received a call from her to see how i was doing a few hours after i left. Not that i intend on getting to that point again but comforting to know that if i do, i got nothing to be anxious about. Can't recommend this team enough!!

Dr. Goo and her team provided a routine cleaning and made a mouth guard for me while in Kauai. The whole experience was seamless and affordable. Their Knowledgeable and friendly staff put it over the top. Wish they had a practice in my home town.

Visiting Kauai from Australia Easter 2018 broke a tooth on Good Friday and found Dr Goo on Google. She was able to see me on Saturday and extracted the tooth. Very caring and great rapport would highly recommend her if you have any dental requirements.
