Katy Trail Dental, the practice of Dr. Nadia Bahramnejad, is not your average Dallas dental office. Yes, we offer everything youd expect from a general and cosmetic dentist's office, but our passionate focus on personalized care and patient comfort sets us apart and helps our patients to feel at ease whether they are here for a checkup or a root canal.

As a dentist, I have the privilege each day to do what I love the most: create beautiful, healthy smiles and promote systemic wellness! Our team is focused on providing you with a comfortable and caring experience where we customize treatment based on your needs. I grew up in Dallas and went to SMU where I studied biology and chemistry. From there, I earned my dental degree at Baylor College of Dentistry. I am proud to be actively involved in numerous local and national professional organizations including the local branch of the Seattle Study Club, which is an exclusive network of doctors who collaborate to further their knowledge through continuing education in order to better serve their patients.
A passion for dentistry runs deep in my family. With my husband being a pediatric dentist (Dr. Neema Dad), we often find ourselves overwhelmed with gratitude, and humbled to be in a field that first-handedly impacts and changes the lives of others. In 2018 we had the amazing opportunity to travel to Africa and perform dentistry for the wonderful, loving people of Ndola, Zambia. We continue to find ways to pay it forward through acts of service.
We are pleased to welcome Emily to our Dental Home! Emily was born and raised in East Texas where her HUGE, close-knit, family still resides. Emilys mother has 7 siblings and she herself has two older (protective) brothers that all live in Tyler, TX. In 2013 Emily relocated to Dallas to pursue her Biology degree at UT Dallas with intentions of going to Dental School in the future. Her fianc, Vincent, who actually put Emily in touch with Dr. Fufidio, our former owner, relocated shortly after. While studying Emily was working out and working at Equinox when she fell into a part time position there, then a Nanny position, waitressed at the local Vietnamese restaurant and then fell into an Office Manager Position in a dental office all through her contacts at Equinox. She is a little go-getter and social butterfly for sure. It was about 2 years ago Emily took the plunge and pursued Dental Office Management full time. Currently she plans to go back to school for Business although secretly she still aspires to pursue a modeling career (We just cant tell Dad!).
Emily is a wealth of information and a breath of fresh air at KTD. With her free time she enjoys visiting home more often, working out, traveling to new places, shopping and fashion, loves her essential oils and eating all kinds of foods. Welcome Emily! We adore you and are happy to have you!
We are so fortunate to have been put in touch with Ms. Maria and all her 20+ years of dental and specifically, dental office management, experience. Maria moved to Dallas from East Texas over 2 decades ago now. She left retail management to made the transition to Dental Office Management because of the people. Maria assimilated into our practice more easily than any new hire we have EVER had because of her true interest in getting to know her team members and our patients. It has been a gift for sure!
When Maria is not helping us with all things office related she absolutely loves time spent with her family. This can be her immediate family of three boys and her amazing, entrepreneur, husband. It can be her father, her sister in Longview, or any of her other siblings and cousins. Maria comes from an immediate family with 6 siblings and she is so lucky everyone has stayed close. In her own family, Maria was the Soccer Mom, she has had the Skater Boy and also the Pop Singer keeping her entertained. This Boy Mom loves to attend family gathers and celebrate all birthdays, big holidays, especially Easter. These celebrations can take her somewhere exotic, like a Mexico all-inclusive resort, a lakeside Airbnb, or even her sisters farm and all its property associated with it. Maria understands the importance of selfcare and makes time for cousin and sister time where they get away and connect. She is a foodie and lover of all things sweet, that is beverages and treats alike.
Maria is a true people person and embodies all our core values at Katy Trail Dental. Your doctor is thrilled to have found her and loves getting to know her more every day. Maria has a true gem! Thank you for coming out of retirement for us Maria, we absolutely love working with you and the relief you bring the office.
Where do we begin with Hepzhi? She is just remarkable. An example. A true diamond in the rough. Her and her husband both are! This newly wed moved to the United States from India in the early 2000s and her and her family resided in Oklahoma. While there, when not spending time with family, friends, her church group, or at sporting events, she pursued her dental assisting license with aspirations of becoming a dentist! Soon she realized she wanted the personal relationship with her patients for years to come and focused her training strictly on hygiene. This is what makes Hepzhi shine in our practice. The personal touch, interest, and good heart, made her the hire we had to have.
Outside the office Hepzhi enjoys eating ethnic food. She reports failing when trying to make homemade version though. She is super crafty and visually inclined. She says she is not fashionable but we beg to differ. Someday this girl will be a social media influencer toting how, You too can make your own headbands, scrunchies and raised garden beds. Hepzhi loves spending time with her Husky pup,Archienamed after Riverdale, and getting outside, being adventurous. Hepzhis chosen family is now in Texas, Dallas and Austin. She absolutely loves spending time with her family and friends and crushing everyone at card games. Dont mention Taco Cat or Goat Cheese Pizza around her, she gets way too excited!
Most exciting has been that Hepzhi and her husband Sam are working on the newest addition to the Katy Trail Dental office, a Katy Trail Dental BABY! They recently welcomed Zion to the family this Summer and we are so happy for them!
Meet Melissa, because, Man, we were happy to meet her! When we found ourselves in dire need of help we found this Dallas native and we are happy she found her husband and chose to settle down here in Dallas because she has a love for all things Chicago. Her mother was from Chicago and Melissa would travel up north every other WEEK to see family but Luis influenced her to not and we couldnt be happier. Her weekends now consist of time with Luis, working out and her house rule is NO cooking on weekends so they enjoy getting take out, especially ceviche from Big Shucks. Melissa finds herself living in Dallas proper, Uptown, and one day saw a straw cat wondering the complex. For fear of what they thought was this pretty lady cat being destined to live her life in a small box she and Luis took Kiwi in. Kiwi was the name she gave her kitty when she would baby talk to it saying, you are such a cute KIWI for kitty. But Luis and her could not be more surprised when they spoiled Kimi with all pink accessories to find out she, was actually a HE.
Outside working out, eating out, entertaining Kiwi, Melissa and Luis have a shared love for Country. Melissa for country music, Luis for country dancing. He even taught this Wall Flower how to country dance. Shortly after they were engaged and to be wed but COVID derailed things so although they are technically married, the planned wedding is back on for next year, November.
Dentally, Melissa is amazing! She was an after care tutor for 4thgraders before pursuing her Associates Degree. She considered Pharmacy and Chemistry and then her cousin introduced her to dental hygiene. She barely knew what the field was about but applied and her 4.0 CPA and ambition got her in first try. She even pursued the whole Bachelors in Dental Hygiene and has aspirations for a Masters in Public Health some day to really give back to the community.
It has been an absolutely blessing that Jenene found our office and she will tell you that since she took the leap on our office she has peace of the mind and this is a beautiful thing. Speaking of beauty, Jenene brings beauty to all those around her through her positivity and demeanor.
Jenene absolutely lives for her daughter, Eryn. We are thrilled to announce that Eryn auditioned and was accepted to Booker T Washington High School for theater making this momma extra proud! Jenene loves spoiling her teenage girl through quality time spent at Starbucks or shopping. Eryn absolutely loves NorthPark, time watching movies, going to them, and also reading with Mom. These two enjoy discussing a biography or romanticizing over a love story, and of course listening to Country and Christian music. Jenene has a big family. Every Sunday Jenene spends time with her mother, brother and sisters, including her identical twin sister!
Jenene is a passionate Sunday School teacher and loves teaching the little 3, 4, 5 year olds that have her heart. Jenene is a talented DIY making pieces hers through assembly, staining, painting. Her home is decorated with her work ranging from her coffee table to jewelry boxes and more.
Jenene left her favorite office to pursue giving back to the community further at Parkland and through this avenue then found Katy Trail Dental. At Katy Trail Dental we hope to give Jenene some balance back so she can pursue more time on the beach again because Belize and Costa Rica may be her true loves and we hope she will continue with her mission trip passion delivering care packages, oral hygiene aids and general good vibes to the underserved. Jenene has been nicknamed Mary Poppins and that she isshe truly is our savior, our blessing!
Dr. Bahramnejad has undergone additional training to quickly identify and diagnose facial pain in her patients. With a detailed and comprehensive patient examination including a thorough evaluation of the head and neck, we can find out why you are experiencing facial pain.
Through pain and occlusal analysis, Dr. Bahramnejad can best discern whether the facial pain is from the TMJ, neuralgia, ears, eyes, or facial muscles. Once diagnosed, we have a variety of different chemotherapeutics including the use of sterile saline, lidocaine, and of course, botulinum toxin, for pain management through injectable therapy. We can apply these modalities for short and long term solutions making for successful therapeutic and esthetic outcomes.
Most recently, Dr. Bahramnejad furthered herself as a dental practitioner becoming fully certified with the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE) to treat TMJ (Temporal Mandibular Joint) pain and myofascial (muscular inflammatory pain) in the head AND neck region offering an elevated Botox experience to her patients. Dr. Bahramnejad has been effectively practicing Botox and neuromodulator injections to relieve orofacial pain and eliminate signs and symptoms of clenching and grinding for years. Countless hours of continuing education and instruction went into her background and the versatility of the information is astounding. Did you know Botox injections can function like dry needling to relax the muscles of the face, head and neck? Did you know that tooth sensitivity can be directly linked to one of these muscles being overly tight? Did you know that when a muscle is so overworked and tightens into a knot it completely stops blood flow and actually causes a local necrosis or death of the muscle cells there?! Dont worry, we didnt either until recently! The information learned and obtained in this certification process has been life, and practice, changing. The application can be hugely beneficial to you as our patient. If you suffer from tooth sensitivity, cracked teeth, broken fillings, tight jaws and muscles, we can help.
There are a multitude of options for those with these symptoms and more. Botox has also been identified as a treatment to help alleviate allergy symptoms in some patients! We all know, in Texas, we need that!
