Dr. Kathryn Grady is a graduate of Loyola University School of Dentistry, and she established this practice in 1991. She also completed an A.A.S. in Dental Hygiene and a B.S. in Health Education prior to dental school. She maintains professional affiliations as a member in good standing of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society.
Dr. Kathryn L. Grady and Dr. Martin J. Grady are third generation dentists. Their father, Dr. Emmett J. Grady, practiced dentistry on the south side of Chicago for more than 25 years. Dr. Emmett J. Grady had two uncles, Dr. Stephen Grady and Dr. Thomas Grady who practiced dentistry in Chicago in the 1940's, -50's and -60's. All three generations of Grady dentists attended Loyola University School of Dentistry (previously named Chicago College of Dentistry). Dr. Kathryn was the 6th Grady dentist to graduate from Loyola over a 62 year period of time.
Dr. Martin J. Grady received his undergraduate degree from the University of Detroit in 1979 in Education. He taught High School in the Chicago area for three years before deciding to go back to school to pursue a degree in Dentistry. After two years at the University of Illinois he started Dental School at Loyola University, graduating in 1988.
Both Dr. 's Grady are happy to be continuing work in their 'family business'. They are especially pleased that some families have remained patients through two, and even three, generations of Grady dentists.
Kathy is a graduate of Illinois State University with a B.S. in Business Administration. She joined the Grady team in 2004. She will help you schedule apppointments. She is an expert in communicating with insurance companiesand will help you understand, and get the most from your insurance benefits.
