Dr. Kathryn Ryan is a Prosthodontist and a specialist in esthetic and implant dentistry, reconstructive dentistry, and the management of occlusion. She developed her love for the dental profession during her undergraduate years at the University of Michigan. She graduated in 2002 with a bachelor degree in Biopsychology and completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at The University of the West Indies in 2007.
Dr. Ryan holds a Certificate of Specialty in Prosthodontics and a Master of Science Degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry. During her time at Marquette, she completed her national dental boards and finished a 3-year residency program in fixed and removable prosthodontics and implant and maxillofacial prosthetics. The rigorous program developed her ability to treat the most complex type of dental patient, which is her passion.
Her next achievement was becoming Fellowship trained in Implant Surgery at the University of Florida College of Dentistrys Graduate Prosthodontics program. While in Gainesville, Florida she also became an educator for the undergraduate dental students in clinical procedures and implant restorative concepts. After graduating in 2011, she moved to Tallahassee and practiced Prosthodontics in a well-established practice.
Dr. Ryan and her family moved to Jacksonville in 2013 where she partnered with Dr. Nidal Elias, a fellow Prosthodontist. She matured her knowledge and shared in treatment planning the most difficult of cases. Her dream to open her own practice became a reality in 2015. With this opportunity, she can now employ superior quality treatment and craftsmanship to the people of Jacksonville.
Dr. Ryan was born and raised in Rochester Hills, Michigan. She is married to Dr. Nicholas Peterkin, a family physician and Sports Medicine Fellow with Baptist Health, Regency. They have four young children named Ellie, Lillian, Ava, and Emma. Both Dr. Ryan and Dr. Peterkin were college varsity athletes in track and swimming respectively, and they continue to be involved in athletics.
Volunteering her services is something that Dr. Ryan is actively involved in. While in Tallahassee, she was partnered up with We Care, an organization that provides courtesy dental care to the underserved population. Recently, Dr. Ryan volunteered at the Stand Down for Vets event at Saulzbacher Center in downtown Jacksonville. In the future, she looks forward to committing more of her time to serve the underserved.
Dr. Ryan enjoys teaching and plans to become part-time faculty at the University of Florida College of Dentistry graduate prosthodontic department. She hosteda study club called GUILD. GUILD is a multidisciplinary study club, discussing the latest techniques and ideas from all dental specialties. She develops lectures to educate and discuss complex cases with her Jacksonville colleagues.
In addition to her extensive dental education, Dr. Mularkey also possesses a passion for volunteering. Prior to and throughout dental school, she accumulated more than 225 volunteer hours at NC Mission of Mercy Clinics held across the state of North Carolina. In addition, Dr. Mularkey volunteered at the Samaritan Health Center and Give Kids a Smile throughout undergrad. She currently volunteers annually at the North East Florida Baptist Association mobile dental unit, providing dental services to the underserved community.
While in undergrad, Dr. Mularkey met her husband, Shane. Together, throughout college, the couple made multiple trips to visit Shanes family in Jacksonville and to their surprise would eventually find their forever home in Atlantic Beach, FL. She enjoys spending time with her husband, their dog Zeus, and two sons, Carson and Brooks. You can find the Mularkey family participating in almost any outdoor activity; such as paddle boarding, riding bikes, collecting shark's teeth, and sea glass.
Mary has provided exceptional dental care for her patients for over eight years! Her favorite part of her job is the chance to help patients regain their confidence and smile! Mary is originally from Macclenny, Fl, and attended Baker County High School. She graduated from Florida Gateway College and is also dental assistant certified. Mary has been married to her husband, Kasey, for 10+ years and together they have two boys, Kase and Kolt. She grew up playing sports and enjoys being that mom in the stands cheering on her two boys. You can find them camping, gardening, or completing home DIY projects on their off time!
Nicole is originally from Oshkosh, WI, attended Lourdes Academy and continued onto Fox Valley Technical College. She has worked in dentistry for 27 years, has EDDA Certifications/Training, and says the favorite thing about her career is interacting with her patients. Nicoles interests include; reading mysteries and biographies, knitting, cooking, British TV, and spending time at the beach. But, her favorite thing to do is shopping for different types of tea!
Ashleigh is originally from Lakewood, OH. She has worked in dentistry for 8 years and says her favorite thing about her career is being an advocate for patients. Her interests include; hiking, reading, kayaking/paddle-boarding, traveling, and being with her friends. For more than a decade, Chelsea has provided exceptional dental care for her patients. She really enjoys getting to know people on a personal level and watching their smile transformations unfold. She looks forward to helping you with all of your dentistry needs. A native of Alliance, Ohio, Chelsea is a proud mother to her daughter, Norah. In her spare time, Chelsea likes to spend time with her daughter, extended family, and friends. She loves going to the beach, traveling, and rooting for the Cleveland Indians.
Taylynn has been a dental assistant for a little over two years. She is in love with helping her patients obtain a beautiful and healthy smile. As a native of Florida, Taylynn attended Bradford High School and continued on to Fortis College. In her spare time, as a family of four, they love gardening, crafting, and anything outside!
Karina has been an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant for over 11 years and says her favorite part of her career is helping people smile again. She is originally from Kiev, Ukraine, attended Cheyenne High School, and graduated from College of Southern NV and Florida State College of Jacksonville. She also has her X-Ray and Phlebotomy certification. Karina is married and together they have three children. Her favorite part of the day is spending time with her kids, its a bonus day if it is family time spent on the beach. A fun fact about Karina's family is their journey to America! Her father was in the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus and they lived on the circus train for two years traveling the US.
Jana grew up in rural Maine and she completed her Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene in 1987 from the University of Maine. She spent several years in Hawaii on the Big Island enjoying the sun and sand and came to call Jacksonville her home in 2008. Jana loves traveling and restoring the home she still owns in her small hometown. Jana takes great pride in helping patients achieve their best oral health and a beautiful smile. Her gentle yet thorough touch makes everyone feel at ease.
Rebecca grew up in Glenn St. Mary, FL and has been working in the dental field for over 15 years. She obtained her Associate in Science (A.S.) in Dental Hygiene degree from Florida State College of Jacksonville and is ITERO, CPR, and Local Anesthesia certified. Rebecca loves building relationships with her patients and helping them understand the importance of a healthy smile. She has three beautiful daughters herself, along with three bonus children with her longtime boyfriend. Rebecca spends most of her off time in the ballfields watching her daughter's softball team. You might just be lucky enough to hear stories of her bluegrass youth when she played the banjo and traveled the United States with her family to bluegrass festivals!
With over 30 years in dentistry, Graz brings her decades of dental experience and skill to our team and patients as our head lab technician. Thanks to her years of dedication to technique and learning, Graz makes it possible for us to offer expert services in-office, including repairs for dentures, partials and even fixed and removable implant restorations. Originally from Durban, South Africa, Graz studied at the Durban University of Technology. She is passionate about wildlife conservation and enjoys sharing laughs with her coworkers, friends, and family.
