Dr. Valencia has been providing quality orthodontic care since 1992. She was born in Bogot, Colombia, and although she grew up in the Midwest, she graduated from dental school in Colombia. She completed her orthodontic residency and graduated with honors from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana with a Masters in Orthodontics. She then relocated to South Florida and was director of the orthodontic clinic at Nova Southeastern University. She has been in academia for over 20 years.
With her longtime dream to have her private practice in the United States, she pursued her dental licensing in Florida by undergoing dental school again at Nova Southeastern University and, after graduating, she completed her orthodontic residency (for the second time) and graduated from Nova Southeastern University in 2008.
She is married and has three sons, Gustavo, Felipe and Jaime. They all work with her, making our office a true family practice. She volunteers in various science and health programs. She also enjoys yoga and music and is completely fluent in English and Spanish.

Great dental office! Wonderful and warm experience from start to finish! I Appreciate Dr. Kathleen Valencia taking time to go over the diagnosis clearly and explaining my treatment options. You will notice that in this dental office everyone is just lovely! Talking to Gustavo (the guy at the front desk) and to Dr. Kathleen Valencia is just a delight! Extremely knowledgeable doctor! She will make you feel always welcomed and really really cared. She will go above and beyond ( put me in contact with other patients who had gone through another medical condition I was going through so that I could find support). Checked out my daughter's damaged teeth from an injury on a Saturday with no appointment. The doctor has fantastic bedside skills and she's extremely knowledgeable. Fantastic! Just wish she took our insurance. Highly recommend!
