Our team is comprised of highly trained and compassionate individuals. We take your dental care very seriously and strive to provide you with the best service possible. We attend a number of conferences throughout the year to ensure we are on the leading edge of dentistry.
Holding the title of both Owner and Dentist, Kathi Matthes has been practicing dentistry for nearly two decades. Honesty and sincerity are always at the forefront for the entire staff and is reflected through the longstanding relationships with patients. In addition, she has created a fun environment that ensures patients and staff enjoy coming into the office.
Addison received her Dental Assistant Certificate from Keystone Dental in 2016. She finds joy daily in helping patients smile and enriching their lives. It is important to her that patients realize that dentist offices don't have to be scary.
Teresa has been a hygienist for 18 years and counting. She loves getting to know and caring for each patient individually. It's important to Teresa that each patient feels comfortable while they are at the office. She loves being part of a knowlegable staff that truly cares about all the patients and providing education on oral health.
In her spare time you can find Teresa gardening and finding new ways to cook with what she has grown. She loves fishing and attending sporting events with friends and family. She has two dogs, Charlie and Piper, and her cat Chopper (who often thinks he is a dog himself).
As the longest tenured staff member, Mary has been in her role for 25 years and has a double major in accounting and management.Over the years, she has developed a special bond with the patients. Mary is considered the 'jack of all trades.' She was actually trained on the job and can assist Dr. Matthes, run the front desk and even perform minor repairs on the equipment.
Bringing a kiddo with you? That's no problem... we love kids! We have a number of toys in our lobby to keep them occupied. Even in the exam rooms,you'll find our staff knows just the right way to interact with your little one to ensure they too have a pleasant dental experience.

I immediately took my daughter to Kathi J. Matthes, DDS, PC - here in Lee's Summit...after Spencer & Spencer turned our walk-in of urgency away due to being fully booked, and lacking compassion for her issue. I shared with the two receptionist there...what my daughter had been dealing with over the weekend- the same story I shared with Spencer & Spencer. -a painful wiggley tooth that was ready to come out...but didn't! Their kindness and concern was immediately apparent! They asked if they could take a look right there at the counter...to get a better assessment of what I was talking about. They immediately had seen the issue. My daughter was in their dentist's chair within 5 minutes! Doctor Matthes was seeing my child, and extracted the tooth WITHIN the following 5 minutes! My daughter lit up with a smile; she didn't even feel the removal. That less-than-10-minutes trip meant so much to my daughter! Doctor Matthes and her staff were EXCELLENT! I'm bringing her back for future care, and follow ups!
