Dr. Murphy-Brown received her Doctorate of Medical Dentistry in 2006 from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine located in Boston, MA. She was the recipient of the Eleanor J. Bushee Senior Student Award for Academic Excellence and Outstanding Leadership. Following graduation, Dr. Murphy-Brown joined a general dentistry practice in the greater Boston area as an associate. She was awarded Associate of the Year in 2007 and was asked to become a partner. In addition to starting a new practice in South Boston, Massachusetts, Dr. Murphy-Brown enjoyed teaching third and fourth year dental students on the clinic floor at Tufts Dental School. In 2009, Dr. Murphy-Brown decided to return home to Michigan to be closer to family. She practiced as an associate dentist in the Troy area before joining thisfamily and cosmetic dentalpractice in 2010.
In 2010, Dr. Murphy-Brown completed the Synergy Training Program for Implant Dentistry. She attends several continuing education programs and conferences throughout the year, including an implant study club. Dr. Murphy-Brown believes that the dentist and patient should work as a team to achieve the esthetic and functional results necessary for a happy and healthy smile. Dental education and proper communication are the keys to that success.
Prior to attending dental school, Dr. Murphy-Brown received her B.A. from Albion College where she played volleyball for four years. She grew up in Port Huron, Michigan. She now lives in Lake Orion with her husband and their three children. In her free time she enjoys water skiing, downhill skiing, photography, gardening, traveling, and enjoying her time with family and friends.
Dr. Murphy-Brown maintains active membership with the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the Oakland County Dental Society. In recognition of her professional contributions, Dr. Murphy-Brown has received HOUR Top Dentist Recognition 2012 through 2019, Top Doc Recognition 2019, Best of West Bloomfield for Cosmetic Dentistry 2019-2021, Women in Medicine Top Dentist of 2020 and recognized by The Leading Physicians of the World for 2020.

My October regular dental cleaning/check-up appointment was another great visit. Melissa and "KK" are both rated a "10" as dental technicians. We "follow-up reviewed", with Dr. Murphy, my wisdom tooth extraction and crown procedures that were scheduled earlier this past year. Brenda knowledgeably explained the cost/coverage structure of their practice's annual dental plan, which has been tremendous in retirement. Dr. Murphy has assembled an outstanding technical/administrative team!

It was my wife's and I first dealing with this office. We were very impressed. The professionalism of the staff, friendliness, everything was great. The hygienist Melissa was fantastic. Dr. Murphy didn't try to sell something we didn't need, crowns etc...Very good experience.

My youngest has always been a challenge at the dentist but Dr. Murphy was awesome and made him laugh and giggle. He always thinks we're going to the dentist when we have an "appointment". The front desk is so friendly and make you feel like family. All the hygienists are kind, patient, caring and overall wonderful. The hygienists and Dr.'s take time to explain things and give helpful tips to make your oral hygiene at home a lot easier! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a new dentist!

I had my first cleaning & dental exam with hygienist, Rebecca yesterday & she was the best! I have a huge fear of the dentist and Rebecca was so gentle and made me feel so relaxed! She was by far the best hygienist who's ever cleaned my teeth! I also saw Dr. Yousif and she was so kind and thorough! The whole team at the office was amazing & I highly recommend this dental office to everyone...especially those who are like me and have a fear of going to the dentist. This was my first visit to Dr. Murphy. She and her staff were professional and thorough during my appointment. They put me at ease right away, treated me pleasantly and with care.
