Mikki, sister to Dr. Kast, has been in the practice since its conception in 1998. She has a bachelors degree in business from Bowling Green State University. Mikki played a major role in establishing the practice, creating many of the procedures and standards for Kast Orthodontics. Currently, her primary role in the office is as the Financial Coordinator. In her free time, Mikki enjoys the outdoors. Skiing, biking, climbing, kayaking are just a few of her many outdoor adventures.
Beth has been at Kast Orthodontics since February 2007. As our Scheduling and Insurance Coordinator, she works diligently to give the greatest care to our patients and their family. She works hard to make the scheduling process for our patients convenient. As our Insurance Coordinator, Beths helps patients and parents with all insurance-related issues and helps them maximize their insurance benefits. Beth has 6 children of her own, two of who have been through treatment at Kast Orthodontics. Perhaps this is why you will always find Beths demeanor patient and pleasant. In her time away from Kast Orthodontics, she enjoys family time with her husband and children. She also still likes to pick up a bat and play in a softball league during the summer.
You will always find a warm welcome with Janie. She started with Kast Orthodontics in the fall of 2004 and has been in the orthodontic field for over 25 years. With Janies energetic and outgoing personality and her passion for orthodontics, you will get nothing less than an informative, enjoyable, and caring experience here. Upon meeting with her at the initial new patient exam, she will discuss all available treatment and financial options. She will ensure no questions are left unanswered. Along with handling most new patient exams, she plays a key role in the office, making certain that each patient is informed, satisfied, and receiving excellent care. Janie and her husband have two wonderful children. The eldest, Rachel, was once an employee here and her son is studying to become a Dentist
Miriam has been in the orthodontic profession for over 35 years. She has been here at Kast Orthodontics since 2008. Through 2016, Miriam served as our clinical leader, playing the role of Clinical Coordinator. Recently, Miriam has reduced her hours to spend time caring for her granddaughter. You will always find Miriam to be soft, gentle, and caring with everything she does. Her knowledge continues to make her a great asset to Kast Orthodontics. Miriam resides in Lorain, Ohio with her husband. She has two wonderful daughters and most recently was blessed with a granddaughter.
In October 2007, Amanda ventured from Southern California to Ohio to join our team. Having a bachelors degree in communications, Amanda has excellent interpersonal skills. She has enjoyed learning a new skill that engages both her mind and her hands. Most of all she enjoys the wonderful families and terrific patients who come through the office. You will find that Amanda has an outgoing personality and takes pleasure in sending smiles to all of our patients.
Marina originally came to the practice in 2004 seeking treatment for her daughter Brittney. This relationship eventually led to her joining the staff at Kast Orthodontics as a chairside assistant. As an assistant, she then played a role in her sons treatment. Marina had no dental or orthodontic experience prior to joining our staff, but she worked hard, attained her radiography license, and has become one of our more experienced staff members. Marinas primary role centers around patient care, however, she also works with the dental supply companies to maintain the inventory in the practice. In her free time, Marina enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and decorating.
