Dr. Karr was born and raised in Amarillo. He attended Amarillo High School and Texas Tech University. In 1984, he graduated from The University of Texas Dental School in San Antonio. He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Carter Karr. Dr. Carter Karr practiced dentistry in Amarillo for 50 years until he retired in 2011. Dr. Tom Karr attends Hillside Christian Church and has been active in various community and civic organizations. He is Past-President of the Panhandle District Dental Society, and has served as a delegate to the Texas Dental Association. As the Past- President of the Texas Academy of General Dentistry (2000-2001), Dr. Karr is the only dentist in the Panhandle to head this organization. He received his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1996 and his Master in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2009. He has been nominated for Texas Dentist of the year twice, in 1996 and in 2010. He and his wife Cindy have six grown children, three grandchildren, and a black lab named Maggie.
Dr. Hardee is a native of the Panhandle of Texas. He was born in Lubbock and spent most of his childhood and teenage years in Dalhart. After graduating from Dalhart High School, he attended Texas Tech University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. From Tech, he entered dental school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and graduated with his D.D.S. degree with honors. Dr. Hardee has one older brother Bret, who resides in Broken Arrow, OK with his wife Christi and their two sons, Hayden and Hudson. Dr. Hardees mom, Debra, resides in Amarillo and they all enjoy spending time together.

Karr and Hardee Dentistry opened in 2003. We focus on the specific needs of each patient as an individual. We see patients from ages 1-100. Our dedicated team is passionate about what they do. We cant wait to welcome you into our dental family.

I was out of state and had a toothache flare up. I called on a Friday and Dr. Karr was able to see me on Monday. One root canal later, and I'm all better. The staff is always nice and accommodating. Thank you Karr & Hardee Dentistry.

As long as there are no problems, this is a great place to go. As soon as any issue out of the ordinary arises, it is every man for himself. I do not recommend this dental office. There are photos all over their walls touting themselves as great givers of their time and talent to those in other countries who are less fortunate. Where is the concern for the patient in the office?

Considering I would rather have surgery without anesthesia than go to the dentist, was not that bad. They are really a gentle and caring group considering I have major dentist phobia!

Today was my second visit for a teeth cleaning. I can't say enough good things about this place! Everyone there is very nice and professional!! I brought my partials in that I had purchased from another dentist when I lived in Kansas. They never did fit me right even after being adjusted several times. They told me to bring them by and they could take a look at them. I am so happy they were able to adjust them just right!! Great place!!

I have known Dr. Karr for many years, and he has always provided excellent dentistry for me. I also met Dr. Hardee recently when he performed a minor procedure on me. He did a great job too! I highly recommend Karr and Hardee Dentistry!

Best dentist group in the Panhandle hands down, hands up, hands crossed or just folded. Staff and docs are great with only YOUR best dentistry in mind. Don't be a jar-head, see doctor Karr instead. (Sorry, it just popped in there)
