My name is Molly Karmazin and I graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry in 2003, and I cannot believe how times flies! I love the practice of Dentistry and I am extremely passionate about providing the best care for my patients. I am sure most of my patients would tell you about my positivity and enthusiasm! I believe I am here to serve my patients and provide them with an informative, positive, and rewarding experience. I believe in giving my patients the WHY behind the dentistry I recommend. I believe that my patients and I work as a team. I believe that every day is about learning, and I learn from my patients every day. One thing that I love the most about practicing dentistry is living life beside these patients, through hard times and fun times, I get the privilege to know them. I believe that working with a team of specialists provides my patients with the best care. As much as I study and want to know all the answers, my patients know I will get them to the specialists they need to find answers to the most complicated issues.
I have spent years continuing to study dentistry. When I graduated from dental school you would never have convinced me that studying never stops. Corey and I have invested countless hours pursuing dental education learning about the most complex cases. I love to diagnose, and I love to find out why things are happening, breaking, and cracking in the mouth. I have learned to find the WHY behind tooth problems and help guide my patients to prevention and longevity. Studying at the world renown KOIS Center for the past few years has changed me as a dentist. This science and research-based education provides us with the tools to help dentistry last as long as it can, predictably. I have related to so many great mentors and have really been exposed to the best dentistry has to offer. I get to bring this knowledge back to our practice and that really excites me and makes me happy!
It has been fun to see the evolution of our practice over the years. I have had the opportunity to really carve out what I love to do. I love cosmetic dentistry and really changing someones smile to be something they are immensely proud of. I love getting patients healthy again. It is often we are seeing patients who have not seen a dentist in years. This is my favorite thing! I am so proud of these patients for investing in themselves in time, money, and health. At Karmazin Dental our dental hygienists are deeply passionate about our patients periodontal health. I value our patients time, so I love to provide as much care as I can in one visit.
What do I do outside of dentistry? Talk about dentistry? Kidding not kidding Having a husband, two brothers, a brother-in-law, and a father-in-law in dentistry makes for a constant flow of conversation. Oftentimes my kids will remind me that I do not have to talk about teeth all the time. We have three awesome kiddos that continue to humble me, love to get a laugh out of me, love when I get to help at school, and love to grade my cooking skills. I treasure this time with the kids. Having learned from my patients with grown children, they say I will miss laundry and the constant cleaning up after them when they are gone. I love to read and will always have my kindle app close and ready. I love to walk; in fact, this is where Corey and I do most of our brainstorming and life planning is on our walks.
When you walk into Karmazin Dental we want you to feel the Karmazin Difference. We are intentional about our patient experience. We are intentional with our team members that serve our patients. We are intentional about providing the best we can, and we are excited to serve you!
I am Dr. Corey Karmazin. I attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry and graduated in 2002. Molly and I relocated to Sioux Falls and founded Karmazin Dental in 2003. My interest in dentistry started from a very young age. I helped at my dads dental clinic in Norfolk, NE throughout high school and during the summer while I was in college.
Dentistry, like many industries, has seen many advancements in recent years. I strive to continue to have access to top of the line advanced training programs and continuing education in order to best treat my patients. My goal is to be at the forefront of new technology and scientifically evidence based dentistry. Molly and I complete the majority of our advanced training together. This sets us apart because we take a team approach to patient care. There is great value of a second set of eyes and opinion on cases that are especially challenging. Molly and I have extensive training in treating worn teeth and rehabilitating smiles. I have put over 100 hours into studying sleep disordered breathing and how that has a direct link to increased risk of heart attacks as well as strokes. Working closely alongside sleep physicians to find the best treatment plan for our patients helps us to minimize these risks for the patient. My most recent advanced training is in the field of dental implantology (tooth replacement therapy). I have logged over 150 hours of advanced training in placing and restoring dental implants since 2020. Being able to care for patients from tooth loss to implant placement and eventual tooth replacement has removed a big barrier some patients have about multiple office treatment.
When not at the office you can usually find us with our three kids. We spend time outside as a family swimming, having bonfires, and taking walks around the neighborhood. I enjoy listening to podcasts in my free time as well. My favorite podcasts are anything dental or Star Wars related.
